Turkish Lawmaker Compares Pope to Hitler...

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Turkey's ruling Islamic-rooted party joined a wave of criticism of Pope Benedict XVI on Friday, accusing him of trying to revive the spirit of the Crusades with remarks he made about the Muslim faith. A Turkish lawmaker said the pontiff would go down in history "in the same category as leaders such as Hitler and Mussolini" for his words.

IN THE FUTURE EVERYONE WILL BE HITLER FOR 15 MINUTES

Maybe Pope Benedict will do for Islam what his predecessor did for communism.

That's it, young Ratzi's the next Hunk of the Week. This is utterly and hilariously predictable though, I assumed (silly me) that he had JUST made these remarks. Darn my foolishness. OF COURSE he had already made this speech and OF COURSE this little bit of theater hit us on a FRIDAY with those nice English signs! And to think, I've been watching most of what he's been up to in Deutschland on the Catholic Channel EWTN. You snooze, you loose.

I did buy a new book of Ratzinger/Benedict's last night though, before I heard the news. Anyone want to "Book Club" it with me? This time it's Christianity and the Crisis of Cultures.

I'm with demosthenes... don't let yourselves think we heathens and atheists can't stand up for Western Civilization every bit as tall as the rest of you. And speaking of standing up, whatever other disagreements I have with this Pope, he is one Stand Up Man when it comes to confronting Islamonazism. Maybe it's what he learned from observing the previous incarnation up close, but whatever it is he obviously possesses a real conscience and I would be surprised to see him fold up and back down. It sounds like he understands what is at stake and has decided that if the Islamists want Catholic Europe, they are going to have to go through him, and he's not budging. And it doesn't hurt that he has the authority to back that up. Would that we had more like him here.

Now, if we could just get his exorcist to understand that Harry Potter is not a real person...

Revere Rides Again,

We all agree that believers, atheists, agnostics and pagans are all in the same boat together when it comes to our fight against Islamofascism.

That's why we call it the Infidel Bloggers Alliance.

Does it strike anyone else as, oh, I don't know, a bit odd that it is coming from some TURKS that the Pope will go down in history in the same category as Hitler and Mussolini? All of the Turkish condemnation (note that their condemnation of FOUR attacks, including fatalities, upon Catholic Priests in their country in the last year has gone WITHOUT apology to the Vatican) is base hypocrisy. They rant and demand apologies all the while STILL denying millions of people an apology that has been asked for for almost 100 years, over a MAJOR insult to both religion AND humanity.

Oh, and you guys might see my seething face soon. I'll take that bet and raise you both...lol....first I need to stop commenting and actually write some POSTS...lol.
