CAIR ADVANCES CRUSADE AGAINST POPE

America, CAIR wants to dhimmitize your pope. He may not be my religious leader, my "pope" but I love him just the same. I was, understandably, disappointed in his position in the Israel/Islamic war. It was a mistake to dismiss Hezb'Allah's blood lust and murder and to hold Israel up to an impossible standard (both militarily and morally.)

But now the Pope has spoken truth to militant Islam and the barbarians are out for blood. The new fascism, the crime of opinion, Islam has no sense of justice.

Across the world, Pope Benedict XVI came under increasing critical fire t0day over comments he made about Islam, as Muslim leaders around the world angrily accused him of dividing religions and demanded an apology. In Britain, Gaza, Iraq, Syria and Indonesia, Muslim leaders registered their protest. The Parliament in Pakistan passed a resolution against the pope's statements, and the government later summoned the Vatican envoy to express official displeasure. In Lebanon, Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, the most senior Shiite cleric, demanded "a personal apology — not through his envoys."

And emotion spilled over in Turkey, where Benedict has scheduled a visit in November, as a top official in the Islamic-rooted ruling party said that the pope is "going down in history in the same category as leaders such as Hitler and Mussolini."

"He has a dark mentality that comes from the darkness of the Middle Ages," the official, Salih Kapusuz, deputy leader of Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan's government, was quoted on the state-owned Anatolia news agency. "It looks like an effort to revive the mentality of the Crusades."

Many Muslims are also comparing his comments with the unflattering cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad which stoked deep Muslim anger earlier this year. More here

CAIR seeks meeting with Vatican representative in Washington, D.C.

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/15/2006) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called for increased dialogue between Muslims and Catholics over the controversy sparked by remarks perceived as insulting to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad made by Pope Benedict XVI. CAIR is also seeking a meeting with the Vatican's representative in Washington, D.C., to discuss the remarks.

In an address on Tuesday, the Pope quoted a 14th century Byzantine Christian Emperor as saying: "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

SEE: Muslim Leaders Blast Pope's Comments (Washington Post)

In a statement issued today, the Washington-based Islamic civil rights and advocacy group said:

"The proper response to the Pope's inaccurate and divisive remarks is for Muslims and Catholics worldwide to increase dialogue and outreach efforts aimed at building better relations between Christianity and Islam. This unfortunate episode also offers an opportunity for Christians to learn more about Islam, the Prophet Muhammad and the Islamic concept of jihad.

"Jihad is a central and broad Islamic concept that includes struggle against evil inclinations within oneself, struggle to improve the quality of life in society, struggle in the battlefield for self-defense (e.g., - having a standing army for national defense), or fighting against tyranny or oppression. 'Jihad' should not be translated as 'holy war.'

Who writes their copy. Those unfamiliar with the definition of jihad must read Future Jihad by Walid Phares, Bat Ye'or, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Andrew Bosotm,

"In Islam, there is no contradiction between faith and reason. The first verses revealed to the Prophet Muhammad included: 'Read! In the name of your Lord. . .Read! Your Lord is the Most Gracious, Who taught by the (use of the) pen, taught man what he knew not.' Historically, whenever Islam flourished, so did knowledge and discovery.

"Let us all continue the interfaith efforts promoted by the late Pope John Paul II, who made great strides in bringing Muslims and Catholics together for the common good."

The late Pope John Paul II? Wasn't he shot by a muslim? uh...........yeah

CAIR is urging Americans of all faiths to learn more about Islam and about the life and legacy of the Prophet Muhammad by requesting a free Quran or a book or DVD about Muhammad at www.explorethequran.org and www.cair.com/Muhammad.

Just confirm from any of your muslim friends (if U hv any)whether as muslims they r able to intercede for a non muslim in other words can a muslim offer prayers for a non muslim or infidel? As I come to understand muslims are not allowed to pray for infidels even if the non believer is his good buddy n is near death b'cos if he dus n his infidel buddy recovers, the so called buddy might turn against islam n do harm to it (Islam). Thus as a pre-emptive deterrant no muslim is allowed to pray for the blessings of a non believer i.e. infidel !! GENEROSITY, LOVE & CHARITY!!

Just as your knowledge is flawed by definition (no-one has read it all), so is your apparent muslim friends. You may want to consider that all religions have variations in practice and theology. Islam and Muslims pray for the whole mankind, since any 'infidel' may also become muslim, right? A lot of us have even first degree relatives who are not Muslims. Do we not pray for them, then?

In Islam Prophet Muhammad's (pbuh) statements are collected meticulously to a knowledge base called the hadith, and here's the one for you:
Volume 2, Book 23, Number 399:
Narrated 'Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila:

Sahl bin Hunaif and Qais bin Sad were sitting in the city of Al-Qadisiya. A funeral procession passed in front of them and they stood up. They were told that funeral procession was of one of the inhabitants of the land i.e. of a non-believer, under the protection of Muslims. They said, "A funeral procession passed in front of the Prophet and he stood up. When he was told that it was the coffin of a Jew, he said, "Is it not a living being (soul)?"

What is striking about the Pope's comments is that he associated current political events to the Middle Ages, drew his hypothesis for his lecture from statements over 600 years old, though by now one would hope that his education would've taught him to at least know where to look for the basics even if not fully versed in them to begin with. Just like Adolf Hitler or Timothy McVey DO NOT represent Christian ideologies, neither does Hezbollah, Al-Qaida, nor Taliban represent Islam. Adolf Hitler was a politician responding to a complex historical situation, as is Hezbollah, and all the other political resistance movements in Muslim countries. Why is it that we are so apt to believe that they would somehow represent Islam or Muslims AT ALL? Sadly, it seems that not even the leader of one of the major Christian movements seems to be able to see the difference.
Muslims don't live in a world isolated from the rest. To state that we wouldn't pray for the whole of mankind is a hurtful fallacy. Please, for one and for all, make a heartfelt attempt to look at the facts and stop acting out of prejudice or lack of knowledge. Your Muslim friends will be happy to answer all your questions in detail whenever you want, and feel free to challenge all you hear in life, regardless of the source. If it doesn't make sense, it's probably not true. Your God is our God, Allah is just a name for God, as is 'Dios' or 'Jumala'. It is the same FAITH that created the Torah and the Bible. You can get a free copy of the Quran from

http://www.islamicity.com/freeliterature/

for you to study. It is the ultimate text and testimony to justice, kindness, morality, love, and ultimately, the one and only God.

Your friend may have confused praying WITH infidels for praying for them. As it is, it is OK to pray for anything or anybody of God's creation, but it is not OK to pray TO the idols, Jesus, Holy Ghost, the sacraments, the crusifixes, the visions of Mary in a potato chip, and what have you. If you ever get confused about this, just recall the first of the ten commandments.

Muslims feel offended and instead of convincingly answering the "old" and pressing question about the relationship between their religion and violence, have instead resorted to attack and again turned to violence (Basra church bombing) without any word of condemnation from one of the many Sunni or Shiite Muslim clerics.

How much longer shall we wait to hear Muslim leaders renounce violence?!

Anonymous, your religion is at war with Western civilization. We are not required to "understand" anything about you until you unconditionally renounce the use of force in the pursuit of your religious beliefs. Personally, I am not and have never been interested in the study of anything about your f*****g Quran, your f******g hadith, or your baby-f******g lunatic Prophet. Do you feel I am "insulting" Islam? Well, do forgive me, because I was unaware that it was possible to do that anymore.

WE ARE AT WAR. You are the ENEMY. Now get your bombs, guns, incessant whining, threats, hypocrisy, anti-semitism, nukes, vile Hezbollah thugs, mawkish blatherings about whom you do or do not pray for, child-murdering mullahs, hatred of women, neuroses about dogs music hair statues and pigs, public stonings, burkas chadors hijab in general, "honor" killings, forced marriages, sexual mutilation, incessant calls to prayer, censorship, religious police, suicide bombers, IEDs, cartoon riots, taped beheadings, coerced conversions, OBL videos, hijacked airliners, Holocaust denial, well-dwelling Mahdis, Crusader obsession, "God Bless Hitler" placards, and general inability to mind your own business and get along with the rest of the billions of inhabitants of this world out of our faces because I think I can speak for quite a few of us when I say I am rapidly getting to the point where I don't care WHAT we have to do to get you to BACK OFF and BUTT OUT.

I trust I have made myself clear. Thank you for your attention.

Well, we all know how to write to CAIR, now don't we? I know, they don't CAIR, and they don't even seem to listen. But it's always fun to write and ask for another chance at a fatwa from them. At least for me. Come on, write to Ibrahim, you know you wanna...

I prefer to let anonymous pass my comments along to his friends at CAIR and the other Little Sheet-Head mouthpieces. That's what boot-licking lackeys are for.
