Mobilizing the Muslim Vote

According to this October 19, 2006 article (also posted at CAIR's web site) reproduced here in its entirety:

Richmond - Muslims in Virginia are poised to play a sizable role in next month’s election, with nearly 60,000 registered Muslim voters in the state, according to a local political organization.

Mukit Hossain, president of the Virginia Muslim Political Action Committee, said his group is working to mobilize voters to get out and vote Democratic....

Any articles related to CAIR and voting should be taken with a grain of salt as truth....and, I find it hard to believe that there are 60,000 registered Muslim voters.

For example, how, if any, would one determine the religious status on a voter's registration, when religion isn't even a fill in block on the form at Virginia's DMV offices?

Musims, when it comes down to voting, are noted to be very lazy and un-interested in voting at all.

i have one very legitimate question - why were they allowed into this country in the first place?

does the DHS have it's head up its collective ass?

did we forget who's responsible for 9/11, 7/7. etc?

no place for this filth among humans - none!

The American Muslim vote will become insignificant when the lid finally blows off the PC pressure-cooker, as is now happening in Britanistan:

ROP,
Two things:

1) I read the Daily Mail article and while the first paragraph or two are filled with the events of the past couple of weeks in Britain, the point of the article is that Labor is cynically engaging in the worst sort of politics. The guy basically compares Tony Blair to Nazis. I don't think he ever comes right out and says it, but that's basically his point.

2) I am working on making your 20 Points article into a post. It's a tremendous amount of information. I think I may break it up into twenty articles and list it on the sidebar. I'm not sure yet.

Pastorius,

- What's going on in the inner sanctums of the Labour party is anyone's guess. Watch out for the coming pseudo-Stalinist show trial of Nick Griffin of the BNP. Whatever the outcome, it will be a major embarrassment for the government due to the massive change of attitudes in the past few weeks.

- The 20 points with supporting links is basically a semi-organised brain-dump of everything I've learned about Islam since 7/7 when my son had a near miss from an Islamic attack.

It's then that I realised that Islam wasn't a religion in any normal sense, and started to learn more about it.

I agree it's a huge amount of information, and some of it is repetitive. Maybe it could be reorganised into a 'one-stop-shop' for 'everything you wanted to know about Islam but were afraid to ask'.

Unfortunately I'm going to be very busy from now on until at least Christmas (oops - sorry - I mean the Winter festival) and so I won't be able to improve its presentation beyond what I sent in the comment.

If anyone asked my religion as I registered there would be a disturbance.

I find it hard to believe that 60k is a ready number, but nevermind, maybe it's the result of a 'cluster' study.

If these voters are citizens, then I believe THEY believe it's in their interest to vote dem. However, it probably is not. The safer this nation remains, the better off they are in every single way imaginable.
