San Francisco State University Condemns College Republican Group For Desecrating Hamas Flag

You can set fire to an American flag, but don't stomp on the Hamas or Hizbollah flag, for Allah's sake:

Preceding an ongoing investigation into SF State College Republican behavior, the Associated Students board unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the student group for purposely stomping on flags containing the Arabic symbol for God.

“Associated Students, Inc. deems the College Republicans’ actions as contrary to university values and feel they should be held accountable by the university for their actions,” the resolution says.

Amid heavy campus police presence at an Oct. 17 anti-terrorism rally in Malcolm X Plaza, some members of the crowd turned angry when the College Republicans stepped on homemade Hezbollah and Hamas flags ...

After that, the College Republican-organized rally dissolved into a heated shouting match between the group and a mix of students, including some Muslim students, eventually resulting in formal complaints to student representatives.

‘They were voicing their concerns that this event was even allowed. They were offended,” said Kimberly Castillo, board member and chair of University Affairs, the committee that drafted the resolution. “We felt it our duty to respond.” Administrators have been criticized for even allowing the rally to take place.

“The actions on the part of the College Republicans amount to no more than hateful religious intolerance, and constitutes an attempt to defy policies outlined and defined by San Francisco State University’s values,” the resolution says. “Members… pre-mediated the stomping of the flags knowing it would offend some people and possibly incite violence.”

Have the liberals of the academy come to accept Allah as their personal Lord and Savior?

Here are two videos of the event:

It is an outrage. The flag of Hamas, a terrorist organization, is holy. Hizbollah too?

No matter they would be happy to see all westerners dead.

No matter they burn western flags "en masse". Remember all the Danish flags burned? I wonder if the big white cross in the middle is an unknown
Christian symbol...

No matter the terror committed.

To imagine any organizations more unholy is difficult.

If we loose this war against Islamofascism it will be because of the leftist sympathizers. A much more serious enemy than the Islamofascists themselves.

Well put, Von Schlicht.

These two Republican University students are heroes in my book.

Isn't SF State where the jewish students were attacked by some ISM like group from Corrie land?

Yes, they should be given medals. They sure have balls.

This situation at SF State is just one more indication of an absurd tendency we have seen lately. Somehow terrorist organizations are getting increased support by certain groups in our very midst. They are slowly being legitimized.

Carter is dancing with them - figuratively if not literally. The Democratic party are maybe considering (or actually?) entering into contact with Hamas. And far worse is happening here in Europe.

I am worried about this increasing dhimmitude - in my book it is beyond comprehension.

Is this something comparable to the Stockholm Syndrome? Certain individuals have felt so much indirect pressure from terrorists, that they now identify with them?

That is hogwash and no sufficient excuse.

The apologists should heed this warning: Collaborate with evil at the peril of becoming evil yourselves!

“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Oops. Guys - let me clarify. I agree entirely with Pastorius. The 2 students should be given medals.

Epaminondas came in between with his comment.

Epaminondas, I can recall the episode, but not exactly where... However, after reading this posting, I doubt not for one second it could have happened at SF state.

Von Schlicht,
I understood what you meant.

By the way, I don't think this is related to Stockhausen Syndrome. These SF State kids have very easy lives.

I think their problem is more the result of a knee-jerk rebellion instinct brought on by the fact that they hate their fathers.

I think part of the reason we have so much of this craziness going on now is because of the broken family thing. Kids grow up hating their fathers for having abandoned them. Hatred of father usually mutates into hatred of authority, religion, and country.

That's my opinion anyway. I'm sure many would disagree with me on this.

Pastorius, I hear you.

Undoubtedly many of our society's problems are related to broken up families.

When I read articles about the glorification of single mothers - how they can have a career and take care of their children at the same time - I cannot but shake my head in disgust.

Kids need mothers and fathers both.

Also when I read about how parents have to realize themselves, bask in egoism - here comes divorce - and damned be the family - I always think of the losers: The kids.

But it does not explain all.

Not so long ago kids from broken up or bad families would find other role models. Even strangers, adults in the street, would tell youngsters if they were stepping out of line. This happens too little today. And many kid's role models are no such thing. At best self-indulgent mediocre singers or movie stars. At worst drug addicts and gangsters.

The result is obvious.

But it still does not explain all the apologists and defeatists. Undoubtedly many of them do not come from dysfunctional families and many are to all appearances "well educated".

I see a deeper rot - a more and more decadent society. Maybe we are getting what we deserve.

History repeats itself - if we do not have the vitality - the barbarians will take over. Another cycle begins...

Von Schlicht,
You're depressing me, but I have to say, I think you are correct.
