Muslims Warn UK About Intervention Into Arranged Marriages

Yes, you read that right. The Muslims, who we need to remember emigrated into the UK, are warning their host country:

A plan to allow teachers, social workers, local councils and women's rights groups is being discussed as a means to stop forced "arranged" marriages in primarily the muslim Pakistani and Bangladeshi UK population. The change would allow the teachers, etc to precipitate a "forced marriage protection order":

"Teachers, social workers, women’s rights groups and local councils may be given the power to stop forced marriages, under government plans to protect vulnerable teenagers.

Ministers are preparing a list of third parties who would have the authority to go to court to try to prevent families from forcing children into marriage in Britain and abroad.

The plan is aimed at helping those who are too young, too unwilling or too frightened to go to court to stop their families from marrying them out.

So what is the response of the of so called "moderate muslims" that we are repeatedly told live amongst us? Aren't they pleased that the government and social organisations could prevent the needless suffering of a young muslim woman being forced into marriage?

‘Protect arranged weddings’

Muslim leaders have given warning against “malicious” intervention by third parties into legitimate arranged marriages.

The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has welcomed plans to allow third parties to take legal steps to protect young people from being forced to marry a person. But it has urged the Government to ensure that cultural norms are safeguarded. Those given the new powers should receive training, the council said.

Muslims and other minority groups in Britain with a tradition of arranged marriage say that the issue is not one of faith, but of culture.

Yes, it is a matter of culture. A culture of slavery enabled by Islam, which believes that women are the property of men:

With regards to Muslim behavior toward women, let’s go to Islam’s holy book—the Qur’an. The following are but, a few verses pertaining to the treatment of women in Islam:

▪ Surah 4:15 “If any one of your women is guilty of lewdness...confine them until death claims them.” (This Surah is also a warning to women that the Islamic god Allah is not forgiving when it comes to them and they will suffer death. But, note that the very next verse does forgive men for aberrant sexual behaviors.)

▪ Surah 4:16 “If two men among you commit indecency (sodomy) punish them both. If they repent and mend their ways, let them be. Allah is forgiving and merciful.”

▪ Surah 4:34 “Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them.”

Men are also allowed to falsely testify against their wives—with little to no proof whatsoever—and have said lies believed by Islam’s Shari’a court system. The Qur’an states:

“As for those who accuse their wives but have no witnesses except themselves, let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies…” – Surah 24:6-7

IBA friend Revere Rides Again comments:

Force marriage ("arranged weddings" or any other euphemism notwithstanding) is nothing more than institutionalized RAPE. So according to the MCB, British authorities and citizens are to be prevented from taking legal steps to protect these women from rape even when they know the time and place said rape will take place? And who is going to be officiating and giving the rapist his blessing?

Why is it wrong to rape a woman but a cultural tradition to force her to have sexual intercourse for the rest of her life with a man who is not her choice? And why is it that so often the oppression and degradation of women comes under the column heading of "culture" instead of "criminal activity" where it belongs?

It reminds me of how police who are called to the scene of domestic violence are often told by the perpetrator that "It's a family matter."

Well put, RRA. I'll put your comment on the front page.

If we can throw kids out of shopping malls for being young. If we can toss kids out of schools for speaking about the US Constitution (the 2nd is a case in point). Why can't we throw Muslims out of the West for being interloping 5th columnists?

Well, it's been done before. History has a way of repeating itself.
