Al-Qaeda's terrifying vision of a devastated America in the wake of a nuclear attack

Washington is laid to waste. The Capitol is a blackened, smoking ruin. The White House has been razed. Countless thousands are dead.

This is the apocalyptic scene terrorists hope to create if they ever get their hands on a nuclear bomb.

The computer-generated image below was posted on an Islamic extremists' website yesterday.

It appeared as rumours swept the Internet that the FBI was warning that an Al Qaeda video was about to be released urging militants to use weapons of mass destruction to attack the West.
The information was said to be coming from 'groups that monitor Islamic militant websites'.
The FBI was quick to point out that it had not issued any warning and that the video was not an official Al Qaeda release through its media arm, Al Sahab, but simply an ' amateur' collection of old footage spliced together and posted on the Internet.

U.S. analysts said a lot of effort had been put into the video - entitled Nuclear Jihad, The Ultimate Terror - with graphics, music, and clips of different leaders and groups.

The same expertise seems to have gone into creating this image of a devastated Washington.
Al Sahab puts out more than 80 'officially sanctioned' videos a year to keep up the propaganda on the West. And the Internet shows how easy it is to stir up militancy. One message with the Washington picture said: 'The next strike's in the heart of America. When? When? When? And How?'

Last night FBI sources said Al Qaeda was desperate to get its hands on a weapon of mass destruction, be it nuclear, chemical, or biological.

So far that is only a dream... or, as this picture suggests, a nightmare.

A nightmare is an understatement! The very idea of a nuclear 9/11 would be enough convince me that the Jihad Monsters must be stop. However, I have to admit, for a group that tends to hate art, they seem to be surprisingly good at creating it. That picture looks like something from the history channel's "Life After People" documentary.

Medina
Teheran
Qom
Damascus
Tripoli
Casblanca
Cairo
Alexandria
Isfahan
Kabul
Baghdad
Basra
Riyadh
Algiers
Khartoum
Mogadishu
Jakarta
Penang
Islamabad
Peshawar
Karachi
Qandahar
Tabriz
Bandar Abbas
Mashad
Jiddah
Amman
Aswan
Kuala Lumpur
Sanaa
Kuwait City

the message is that if any WMD attack occurs, they are ashes, and we will ensure no one lives.

And if that response to an attack on the USA with WMD brings a response again...at that point we will get serious, down to towns with population of 2000.

I have a feeling that some people will get the message that if such an attack takes place, the USA will eliminate Islam as a major religion in this world as a side effect of making its practitioners, DEAD.

The very harshness may well save millions of lives.

IF we are believed

The follow-up to that photo image would be even more realistic ones of Iran as a smoking crater.

You forgot Bradford.

Damien said...

Anonymous,

Who's Bradford?

Epaminondas said...

Is that the equivalent of calling in air on your own position?

Paging Tancredo . . .Al Sahab on line 1.

What about Dearborn, Michigan and Resdin, Virginia?

Pastorius - One of my adult children resides in Falls Church (near Reston) and on each subsequent visit I make to that region, it is clear the invasion is on. Having stayed at the Marriott across from a large popular mall (name escapes me now) I noted that every - E V E R Y - employee at that hotel was ME. All the females were scarved. All in all, it was quite amusing at the breakfast buffet when the bacon and sausage bin needed replenishing.

Damien said...

Epaminondas,

I think Anonymous was joking when he said you should add Bradford to your list.

Epaminondas said...

Too late Damien, the Yahudi controlled guidance satellites in geosynchronous orbit over the Rothschild banks now have Bradford permanently locked in.

In the event Buffalo is hit by an unpredictable Hong Kong flu, Bradford is toast

Anonymous, w/rgd to Mecca it certainly would make clear where Yahweh stands, wouldn't it, to many muslim minds?

If it's a sheet of glass, Allah says the muslims suck, if the bomb is a dud, Allah says practice Shariah.

I will take my chances.

Epa,
I guess the casual way in which we divide up the world and mete out the necessary punishment here at IBA has left Damien feeling a bit traumatized.

These are the kinds of decisions leaders must make.

Damien said...

Pastorius,

I am not traumatized, at all.

Pastorius said...

Good. I'm glad to hear it.

Epa and I can be pretty caustic. In fact, I would go so far as to say that I am a mildly pissed off guy, and Epa is downright apoplectic.

I've dedicated myself to biting sarcasm as an art form. There are many fine masters of this art to be found within the blogsphere.

Paul Williams ("Day of Islam", "Osama's Revenge", "The al Qaeda Connection") is a good source on AQ's nuclear intentions, including the adventures of Adnan "The Pilot" Shukrijumah. Williams thinks they already have the means to create the devastation pictured. The question is indeed When and How -- and Where and Why. If AQ really is in serious trouble how likely are they to use whatever they've got before they go down?

Damien said...

revereridesagain,

What ever will be will be, but I really hope we can win this war before the Jihadists are able to launched a nuclear attack.

Pastorius said...

RRA,
I hadn't thought of that possiblity; that if Al Qaeda is on the ropes, they will be more desperate to hurt us.

Oh boy.

Apparently Olberman is claiming that the pictured of "nuked" DC is taken from a video game. I try to limit my exposure to Olberman to avoid having to increase my bp meds, but his point would be? The Fibbies already noted that it's a montage, so the little raghead creeps probably inserted an image from their favorite game.

A functional AQ can afford to sit back and watch the election results and plot its most profitable course of action. A disintegrating AQ can watch whatever it's got in its arsenal be laterally dispersed to Hizballah et al or it can pull off a Wrath of Khan move and go out with a bang. That seems more up the alley for a Mahdist like Ahmadhimmijerker than a would be Caliph like Osama. Has OBL learned his lesson from 9/11, which gave a different result from the one he intended?

Reston is quite near the ADAMS Center (a mosque), as are Herndon and Sterling. Lots of Muslims in those locations.

Always On Watch said...

RRA is right. A desperate AQ is more likely to pull out all the stops.

Pastorius said...

I've been to Reston. It didn't seem like a very highly Islamic area to me. I'm starting to believe I might live in a very Islamicized area(relative to other areas of the U.S.), and didn't even realize it.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, Pasto ..I thought I was mildly pissed off and YOU were apoplectic... I haven't been apoplectic...you wouldn't like me if I was apoplectic.

Pastorius said...

Me, apoplectic? I would never be apoplectic.

You're the apoplectic one, you %#&* **#&*$#^ *%#@&%.

And, what's more, you can go *#%$ your *%@**$

Got it?

""I am a mildly pissed off guy and Epa is downright apoplectic.""
That's why I read IBA.

Damien said...

What does apoplectic mean anyway?

Pastorius said...

Sameno Kami,
It must be somewhat entertaining to watch us go off on things all the time.

;-)

or, should I say

;-0

Pastorius said...

Damien,
It's when you're so angry, you pop every lectic you have, whether it be your dialectic, or something more eclectic.

Uh, that image is a promotional piece of art for 'Fallout 3'

Check our sources much?

Damien said...

Anonymous,

Well, that explains why it looked so familiar

Pastorius said...

Damien,
How did you know to look at this post five months after it had been posted?

Damien said...

Pastorius,

I got an email alerting me that there had been a reply. I usually set it up so that when every I post a comment on any blog topic, I get an email, alerting me to any later replies.

Pastorius said...

Cool.

I didn't know you could do that.

That's great.

Damien said...

Pastorius,

I don't know how it works with other systems, but if your a Google blogger, like me, just make sure you give Google your email, and than subscribe to any post where you use your Google Blogger account as an identity, when you make a comment. If at some point you don't want to be alerted to replies anymore, you can unsubscribe to the post.

SamenoKami said...

Pastorius and Damien, I've found that if I don't preview my comments before I publish, I don't get the option to notify me of future comments.

Damien said...

SamenoKami,

That maybe unusual, because, I don't think I've ever had that problem.
