So, now prepare to buy your own bomb sniffers before heading to work?

Pakistan warns of new high-tech GPS car bombs

Pakistani military intelligence has uncovered terrorist's plans to use car-based global positioning systems to target terrorist bombings.

The service has obtained information that shows Islamist extremists have figured out how to covertly plant explosives inside vehicles and then use the car's navigation system to precisely set off the bomb as the car is close to the target.

The bombing technology was disclosed in Pakistan's The News newspaper May 1.

One GPS guided car bomb was believed used in early March in a car belonging to a navy office in Lahore. The bombing killed at least four people.

According to the report, local terrorist groups are using existing GSM networks used by cellular phone companies to intercept GPS navigation systems that rely on the same networks as the cell phones.

A GPRS service-enabled SIM is used in the GPS devices. This works like a tracker device in the vehicles. A sms is sent on the SIM installed on that device, and upon receiving the sms, the device sends back the latitude and longitude of its current location. The terrorist can easily use Google Earth or his own built-in maps to figure out the location of the vehicle. Some locally built-in digital maps have the capability to work with Google Earth, said one official.

So, now if you work in what some moron with a book- he considers infallible, arguing you have to pay the tax or die - thinks is a fat target to weaken all kufrs, please disconnect all GPS, and/or pull the battery out of your cell phone. Oh, and park in an open sided garage. That way when the chain reacton of gas tanks start going, it won't blow out the sides of the buildings. Of course, you can always build in an extra 15 minutes to your daily commute as your go over the vehicle with your own sniffer.

True love will now mean you don't clear the snow off wifey's car, but instead check hers for the residue of chemical explosives with your new spiffy Ronco bomb sniffer you got at Walmart.
