My wife is reading Ali's book Infidel right now. Literally right now. And she just told me something she read: 6000 girls a DAY have their clitoris cut off. She describes the event she went through and it was almost impossible to read it was so horrible.

I also get accused of racism, and that's why I wrote this article: Critique of Pure Islam. Racism is one of the least applicable accusations of all the accusations we get.

I was talking with a Liberal friend of mine today and I noted to him that the timing of the "Dark Ages" and that of "the rise of Islam/expulsion of the Moors" almost exactly corresponded.

There was an uneasy silence on the other end of the line.

I don't know if that was because he realized I was right, or if it was because he has just decided to stop trying to discuss politics/history with me.

:)

The liberal refusal to acknowledge the ugly reality of Islam's expansionist agenda is, I think, the biggest barrier to stopping it. When Ayaan Hirsi Ali was on the Dutch Parliament, she had a simple idea: They should keep track of the number of honor killings. The liberals went crazy, of course. "It isn't very common, it would be a racist thing to do, etc."

They accused her of being a right-wing fanatic, etc. And probably xenophobic (wink wink, HRH).

Ayaan kept pushing for it and Parliament finally agreed to keep track of two districts (out of 25). They only kept track of it between October, 2004 to May, 2005, and in that time there were 11 honor killings. Everyone was shocked and horrified. And Ayaan was vindicated (she had been saying it was more common than people thought).

This seems to be the common liberal stance all over the world: It's ugly and I don't want to hear it. You must be exaggerating. You must be a racist. There must be some other explanation for all this.

Pastorius,

No coincidence, I assure you. As a Spanish major who read reams of medieval literature in the original Spanish, I know that for a fact!

Have you elaborated on that theme in writing, AOW? Could you provide a link? I'd like to know more.

Pastorius said...

Yeah really, AOW. You ought to write on that subject.

For God's sake, has there ever been a book on exactly why there was a "Dark Ages"?
