Shouting At The Devil

This may start pedestrian but bear with me, there's a point here, somewhere. I hope.

Tonight was Karaoke Night for 5th & 6th graders at the school. Yours truly drew duty as Mrs. MR (heh) was busy eating much better food at a Pampered Chef party.

You've all heard White Men Can't Dance. Well, their children sing even worse. Imagine a 5th grader trying to get through all of Bohemian Rhapsody. And, because we're really close to Taylor Swift's hometown you can imagine how many times I had to listen to Our Song. & I LIKE Taylor Swift. But egads.

Despite ourselves daughter # 3 and I had a really good time. Lousy pizza but a good time.

Pedestrian part over.

I'd seen them before at school functions. Couldn't miss them because we don't have a large community of them. 10 yrs. ago I wouldn't have given them a second thought.

But now. The mother dressed in full flowing hijab. The 5th grade daughter wearing a dark black hijab. Singing Karaoke. Eating Hot Dogs. Doing no one any harm whatsoever.

And I wanted to get up and yell. And Scream at them Why are you covering yourself like that? Just from seeing only your face you're a stone cold knockout WHY ARE YOU HIDING IT?!?! Why are you forcing your very beautiful little girl to hide it, too? How must she feel, all the other typical (man this all sounds so hateful to me) American kids are having a good time and you force her to stand out by hiding her? Do you think maybe, just maybe, she'd like to dress and dance and have fun the same as her peers?

Why must you adhere to a Cult that hates? That makes me angry at you just for worshipping it, when you, yourself, have done me no ill nor disservice. That sends it's young men (and women) to kill themselves and others to feed a bloodthirsty god THAT DOESN'T EXIST. MO WAS A LIAR. THERE IS NO ALLAH. He made it up. Probably too many mushrooms. Don't you understand that? Don't you see?

And of course I have to choke all this back. 300 kids and parents running around screaming, singing (well. . .) it won't do, of course, for me to make a scene like that against someone whose name I don't know.

To top it off the beautiful little girl is in the same class as my daughter. They eat lunch -- break bread -- together on occassion. So I need censor myself at home, when my kid's nearby. She knows my views but I don't want her suddenly spouting them off in school (Hello, Mr Rider, this is the principal. There's been a little incident here at the school. . .) especially when, at that age, she'd be largely parroting what I say & the things I say should not be parroted by anyone under the age of 40. Especially without benefit of clergy. I'd much rather she come to understand why without just my ranting. Nor do I want to taint a friendship "you can't play with her. she's a muslim." Christ what would that make me?

And what does that make me? Feeling like this? It's not hate. It's anger. So am I Obssesed? Arrogant? A Bigot? Self-righteous? Does being angry like that at someone I don't know make me as bad as those that have driven us to this point? I really don't know. But it makes me want to fight even harder to destroy Islam.

GOD DAMN YOU MOHAMMED for driving me, driving us, to this moment in history.

I hope you're burning in Hell.

Midnight rider.... So I need censor myself at home, when my kid's nearby.

It is a bad situation if you have to practice self censorship at home in regards to some thing that is evil.

Basically, by keeping quite at home you are aiding the advancement of the plague like sharia.

It is understandable that you dread "Hello, Mr Rider, this is the principal...", but have you considered that there maybe many more like you amongst the 300 parents.

OOOH, this gets scary, that a 5th/6th graders parents can hold the parents of 300 kids hostage, with basically blatantly abuse the rights of their on child.

Many of these young girls are daily struggling for their rights as equal citizens. These rights, including the right to the freedom of clothing and socialising with members of the opposite sex, must be taken for granted like the right to breathing is. These rights cannot be taken away from them just because they born into Islamic environments.

Yes, yes, yes and yes - and all of those in a *good* way. It's ok to be bigoted against those who truely deserve it, and it's ok to be self-rightous and arrogant when you really do have the superior position.

Sorry, MR, Dante got there first.

I have all the same issues, MR. I have a kid about the same age.

I show her photographs of the things Muslims do (not gory stuff). I show her photos of the women in burqas. We've been to Paris and London, and she loves those places, so I show her photos of what the Muslims do in places like that. I sometimes read her a bit of this or that story.

And, I tell her not all Muslims are bad people. Many of them are very nice, but their religion teaches many of them to do bad things. And, I don't hesitate to tell her that many Germans were nice people, but their government taught them to do horrible things.

And, by the way, I believe Allah does exist. He has a few different names. He has tried a few different schemes throughout history.

Islam, the religion, is the petulant ranting of a god who wants to be God, and is doing his damndest to be worshipped as the One and Only God, when he is not, and he knows he is not.

Have you ever read Paradise Lost?

Hi MR,
I just put up a new post I think you will like. It's called "Everyone Loves Allah", and it explains who Allah is.

I think Athos will like it as well.

MR states "Why must you adhere to a Cult that hates? That makes me angry at you just for worshipping it, when you, yourself, have done me no ill nor disservice."

They obviously HAVE done you (and likely many others)quite a bit of 'ill' as well as diservice.

This little girl wears her own parents prejudices on her sleeve with impunity. No call from Mr. Principal expected from infidel or pious believer. A blatant double standard.
As blatant as a neon sign, the hijab is an instrument of jihad - instigating/advertising the barriers between 'infidel' and 'umma' - enabling the double standard of Political correctness (PC) and Multiculturalism (MC) to strengthen the umma, ultimately molding our Constitution into a suicide pact.

Your frustration is shared by your audience on many 'pedestrian' occassions, MR. I personally make a point to highlight the hypocracy of chattel conditions from individual 'pedestrian' events to trips through local Walmart - to my pre-teen in as clear terms and as age appropriate as possible. The hijab simply illustrates the 'caged animal' syndrome in what would otherwise be a difficult concept. A lioness cub is adorable, affectionate and playful . . .yet it must remain caged when outside it's natural environment.

There is nothing wrong with defending your freedoms through education. I eagerly stand firm by that standard while fully expecting an eventual call from the school system. HRW

All-- by censoring I mean keeping my language and vitriol in check. With my youngest kid I tend to take Pasto's tack although my fiery nature makes it difficult as my wife & adult daughters will tell you. When 10 yr old's not around it usually gets loud vulgar and ugly where Islam is concerned. The kid knows how I feel about it and understands why. I just would rather she not present it in as forceful a way as I do.

And there, too, was the frustration last night. I knew that, no matter how calmly I started it, it would quickly devolve into ugliness. Especially when, as Pasto said, they seem very nice if not religiously misguided.

As far as Allah not existing I should qualify that. I mean as a god. There is only 1 God. Allah to me would be an incarnation of Satan whom I do not consider a god but a fallen angel (Catholic, sorry). Although I haven't yet read your post, Pasto.

My frustration is at the anger, blind rage I feel BECAUSE of this fucked up cult. This is not the kind of person I was. That changed, like for many others, on 9/11.

And I fully expect to get the call from the school one day. Can't be helped. And maybe shouldn't be.

And if that call does come, that will be the time to stand behind your child 101%.

If you're afraid of being branded racist, how about an anonymous complaint? It's unlikely to get anything done, but it'll nag in the head's mind, and maybe increase the chance of success later on.

Just make sure it's a very, very polite complaint, and phrase it in terms of concern for the children, including the muslim girl.
