Musical Interlude: Alma Llanera En Arpa

Performing in Cuzco, Peru:

I'm a Spanish major, and the sounds of this song take me back quite a few years to some parties I attended. We all have our own version of the good ol' days, I guess.

I gotta show this one to my wife. She loves the harp in any style.

This is the Paraguayan harp, MR. It is a lovely instrument, and the official instrument in Paraguay, where it was an innovation to have the strings go up through the neck rather than offset, like a traditional harp. This makes the harp lighter, and more playable by children, because the amount of pressure and weight is relieved. Note also the guitar string tuners running atop the neck, as opposed to pins.
Great piece of music, AOW!
