All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

I Know This Has Nothing To Do With The Theme Of IBA
Please read this story.
Any student who uses the word could be suspended from Danvers High School in Massachusetts! Many parents are just fine with the ban on the word "meep," a word popularized by Beaker on The Muppet Show and the cartoon character Road Runner.
Apparently, a biology teacher felt threatened by the word.
Huh?
You can't make this stuff up.

Meep meep!
Danvers is two towns over from me. They've been a little wonky since 1692 when the "witch persecutions" started there back when they were part of Salem. Or Salem was part of them, I forget.
Since the high school principal didn't have the sense to keep his mouth shut and handle the situation himself, it is now going viral and he'll never get rid of MEEP.
My town, Marblehead, has its own swear word going back generations: WHIP. Old-timers either pretend not to know why it is a swear word or won't tell, but we've got whip this, whip that, all over town. It is the traditional greeting between 'Headers when they meet in foreign lands. Like, say, Connecticut.
MEEEEEEEEEP!!!
I use that very word with people I know instead of excuse me. MeepMeep means get outta the way, please.
Guess I'd get suspended.
Hmm. . . no real surprise there. ..
