Mayor Bloomberg doesn't care where money to build Ground Zero mosque comes from

Mayor Bloomberg said he doesn't know where the planners of the proposed mosque and Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero will get the money to build -- and he doesn't care.
"People say, well, you know, 'Do they have the money? Can they raise the money? Where does it come from?' " the mayor said Friday on his WOR-AM radio show with John Gambling.
"I don't know, and government shouldn't -- do you really want every time they pass the basket in your church and you throw a buck in, they run over and say, 'Okay, now, you know, where do you come from? Who are your parents? Where'd you get this money?'
"No! This is just not -- and I can't for the life of me -- a handful of people ought to be ashamed of themselves."
Bloomberg gave an impassioned defense of the rights of the Park51 Islamic center this week after the Landmarks Preservation Commission gave the founders permission to tear down the existing structure on Park Place.
Organizers have not yet raised money to construct the proposed 13-story building.
They have said they may accept some foreign donations, but have pledged to weed out any contributions from people and groups with anti-American agendas.

If he truly doesn't care where they're getting their money, than I'm very upset that he's mayor of a major American City, especially the one where they are going to build this thing. Now he will have no excuse, if and when it is discovered that genuine hatred and intolerance toward non Muslims, and the overthrow of our republic is preached there.
These PC morons have a very short memory. It's as if they think that 9/11 was a fluke that can never ever happen again; the exact same mentality Americans had BEFORE 9/11. With this type of attitude and lack of vigilance, it can and probably WILL happen again.

Either Bloomberg is an irresponsible fool, he's on the take, or he's hiding something (being on the take, threats to nuke Midtown if the mosque is turned down, whatever). What's ironic is that his idiocy and their arrogance are waking a whole lotta people up to what's wrong with some of the Muslims in this country. They already knew the pols are jerks.

At the moment, we really don't know why Bloomburg is doing this. Come to think about it, he may even be trying to get Muslim radical leftist votes. But no matter what the reason, I still want him out of office, and I don't even live in New York!
