American's United for the Separation of Church and State comes out in opposition to banning Sharia in Oklahoma, Claims ban is Religious Intolerance

Once again, we find that people who pose as Liberals, opposing Jewish and Christians incursions into the public sector, are not nearly so Liberal when it comes to opposing Islamic infiltration.

I am thoroughly disgusted with American's United for the Separation of Church and State. They are no better than the ACLU, and the SPLC. Disgusting all the way through.

The truth is, they do not believe in what they say they believe in. They are anti-Judeo-Christian bigots posing as crusaders for Separation of Church and State (a cause I support, but I have to call a spade a spade here).

Sharia Charade: Oklahoma Ballot Measure Reflects Religious Intolerance

In just six days, Oklahoma voters will decide whether they want to write religious intolerance into their state’s constitution.

That’s what they will be doing if they vote “yes” for a constitutional amendment that would prohibit courts from considering “sharia” – Islamic law – when deciding cases. Since our Constitution already separates religion and government, this proposal has no legitimate purpose.

Supporters are simply fanning the flames of religious discrimination and intolerance. I hope Oklahomans see that.

Supporters of the measure claim it’s the only way to protect the state from a takeover by Islamic extremists.
“There is actually a huge pocket of terrorist organizations operating out of Oklahoma,” said Brigitte Gabriel, founder of “Act! For America,” which is backing the measure. “I know this because I work with members of the FBI who are in counter-terrorism and who are paying attention to what’s happening in Oklahoma. What we are seeing right now, not only in Oklahoma, but nationwide [is] where there is a large concentration of Muslim population, [there are] more demands and more push for sharia law.”

Sadly, Gabriel and her allies have fooled a lot of people in Oklahoma into believing that if they don’t vote “yes,” Islamic law will become the basis for American law. A poll by The Tulsa World in July found that 49 percent of voters support the amendment compared to 24 percent who opposed it and 27 percent who were undecided.

It’s really disappointing that the current anti-Islam sentiments circulating in the nation have enabled such fear mongering. Let’s be clear: The U.S. Constitution already states that religion cannot be the basis of our laws. The First Amendment mandates the separation of church and state.

So, "Americans United for the Separation of Church and State", if what you say is true, then why are our children being asked to play Muslim for a day in schools, reciting the shehada, and going to Mosques?

Why is there a Sharia court in Texas?

Why was the Sharia Court approved by the Second Court of Appeals?

Where did the Americans United for Separation of Church and State stand with regard to those issues?

Crickets chirping, eh?

FUCK YOU. You guys have lost your moral right to advocate.

Anticipate an avalanche of similar responses. Recall NY Post: OBAMA'S MOST PERILOUS LEGAL PICK

JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.

Those are the views of the man on track to become one of the US government's top lawyers: Harold Koh.

Hi Pastorius.
Watching Obama speak and judging from his body language i would say "You ain't seen nothing yet" from him, expect more from the same at a higher rate.looking at his tactics i would say he will play this one out in the U.N. having Oklahoma "Branded" as racists and "Bigots".The worst is yet to come according to me.

Pastorius,

Maybe anti conservative Christian bigots is a more accurate statement. Berry Lin says he's a reverend after all.

Oklahomans aren't going to give two farts in the wind about being branded racist or bigot by the UN. Besides, whats wrong with being intolerant of sharia law? Why on earth should American citizens tolerate sharia law in any state in the United States?

If CAIR wins its case then America is seriously fvcked. This will establish Sharia as a valid legal framework and massively embolden the Muslims.

Mandatory stoning of gays next on the agenda?

Liberalism is an illogical and incoherent mess.

Pastorius said...

Well put, Silverfiddle.

Though it's target always seems to be the ideology and the power base of the Western Tradition, so it could be summed up thusly

Liberalism = opposing "dead white males" and those who support them.

Call me crazy, but I'm starting to think abject racism plays quite a huge part in this.

This is beyond stupid. Obviously they know nothing about the nature of Sharia or the history of Islam and don't care and furthermore have no intention of finding out because they might find themselves morally confused by facts. And yes we are screwed if CAIR wins this, because most Americans will only learn what it means the hard way.

Will has a good point. The minute Obama uses a word like "civility" look for the knife behind his back. He knows there is a good chance that he has only two years at the outside to accomplish what he's been groomed to do all his life.

And of course it's racist. It's that same phenomenon Bloom describes in the video. It's become "OK" to be racist against the DWM who wrote our constitution. And, of course, the Jews -- and don't think for a moment AUSCS won't figure out a way to wave Hebrew religious law as a flag in defense of the Muslim thugs who are trying to exterminate Jews.

The case can be a great opportunity to clarify the reasons why Sharia must never be allowed anywhere near the American judicial system. But it will be a fight at the edge of a very steep cliff.

Btw, I do hope the much-adulated defender of American liberty Ms. Palin will be kind enough to remember that there is separation of church in state if she ever attains a position of high political authority again. She and Ms. O'Donnell seem a bit shaky on that. Yes, there is a problem with "conservative Christians" who also want to elevate "God's law" above the constitution, and don't try to tell me there isn't. I have given up on my local Tea Party because the loudmouth jerk who runs it has repeatedly declared the rallies to be Christian and can't assure me I'm still welcome without shouting BUT YOU'RE WRONG.

Well, fuck him. This little halfwit would scream the same thing at Howard Bloom, and I have no interest in being the weakest rat on the TP hot plate.

had a older pastor who subscribed to the AUSCS!-he did not know the history of this Nation--

I've been 'preaching' against the AUSCS for 20 + years....no one seemed to 'get it'!!
Glad that you do...Pastorius...

I say: I agree. That guy deserves to have my fist in his face. MR and I will take him out to the woodshed.

What do you say, MR?

CS,
My problem with these people is they are racist, anti-Western hypocritical moral posers. To the extent that this organization is their life's work, they are terrible human beings.

Revere Rides Again,

I pretty much agree with you here. I often supported Americans United For The Separation of Church and State, and I probably will again in many instances, some time in the future, but not here. Here, weather they realize it or not, they are actually helping people who would replace our constitution with something that is clearly a religious system of laws that's at least as bad as anything in the old testament, in some cases maybe even worse. Yet ironically Americans United For the Separation of Church and State, refuse to stand by the people of Oklahoma who simply don't want our rights to be taken away, and they condemn those same people in the name of tolerance.

It's going to be an extremely important case, with the opportunity to clarify why Sharia law must never be allowed to influence American juridprudence. If people will only pay attention!

Withdrawing tax exempt status can be very appropriate with an explicitly synthetic "religion" such as Scientology, where they have the actual quote from the founder that he invented it solely to make lots of money. Alas, we probably can't use that on Islam, though given all those caravan raids Bo-Hammerhead staged I'd say he was cutting it close.

Does take me back to the good ol' days of the 70s when some of my friends became Universal Church mail-order ministers to try to get the tax break. The "Ordi"nation parties were great.

Yeah, I'm thinking of dragging that guy over to Laurie Cabot's shop (she's the Official Witch of Salem) and let her knock the stuffing out of him. He's really screwing up the TP in our area.
