Second DOJ lawyer resigns over New Black Panther case; Holder still thinks America is a nation of cowards

 From Weasel Zippers:

The difference between the Black Panther Party of the ’60s and the New Black Panthers is that the Black Panther Party did not benefit from the full support of the Department of Justice:
A trial attorney with the Department of Justice’s Voting Rights Section has resigned, citing concerns about the government’s refusal to prosecute a case involving voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party. A letter of resignation obtained by The Washington Examiner from a former Justice Department employee makes clear DOJ has refused to allow attorneys in the Voting Rights Section to testify before the congressionally-chartered bipartisan U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, despite subpoenas that could result in their being held in contempt.
In his letter of resignation, J. Christian Adams said:
On the other hand, the events surrounding the dismissal of United States v. New Black Panther Party, et al., after the trial team sought and obtained an entry of default, has subjected me, Mr. Christopher Coates, and potentially at some point, all members of the team, to a subpoena from the United States Commission on Civil Rights. The subpoena is based on an explicit federal statute and seeks answers about why the case was dismissed.
I have incurred significant personal expense in retaining a number of separate attorneys and firms regarding this subpoena in order to protect my interests and advise me about my personal legal obligation to comply with the subpoena. Over the last few months, one of my attorneys has had multiple communications with Federal Programs regarding the subpoena. My attorney suggested to them that the Department should file a motion in district court to quash the subpoena and thereby resolve conclusively any question about my obligation to comply.
Months ago, my attorney advised the Department that a motion to quash would be welcome, and that I would assert no objection to the motion. Further, my attorney has explicitly sought to ascertain whether Executive Privilege has been invoked regarding the decisions of individuals not in the Voting Section to order the dismissal of the case. If Executive Privilege has been asserted, or will be, obviously I would not comply with the subpoena. These options would provide some conclusive legal certainly about the extent of my obligation to comply with a subpoena issued pursuant to a federal statute. Instead, we have been ordered not to comply with the subpoena, citing a federal regulation (emphasis mine).
Adams also cites his knowledge of the criminal character and “violent tendencies of” members of the New Black Panther Party, saying:
As you also know, the defendants in the New Black Panther lawsuit have become increasingly belligerent in their rhetoric toward the attorneys who brought the case. (See eg., April 23, 2010 statement of Malik Zulu Shabazz . . ., describing the “phony case” brought by “the modern day racist lynch mob seeking to hang what [we] think .are [our] modern slaves.”) Their grievances toward us generally echo the assertions that the facts and law did not support the lawsuit against them, ab initio. Knowing intimately the criminal character and violent tendencies of the members of New Black Panther Party, it is my profound hope that these assertions are tempered.

13 Year Old Jordan Romero Climbs Mount Everest

Ok, this is not your usual IBA fare.

But truth be told I am absolutely crazy about mountaineering and mountain climbing stories. Books, movies, articles, whatever. The way some people are about basketball or football.

Which is a little strange since I am seriously acrophobic.

As such this story is very cool to me. An American becomes the youngest person to climb Chomolangma. I'd say it's a fair bet he doesn't spend most of his time in front of the TeeVee or playing video games.

So in a world of the weird and ugly and terrifying this is your feel good story of the week.

American, 13, Becomes Youngest to Top Everest

Saturday, 22 May 2010 11:05 AM

BEIJING – A 13-year-old American boy became the youngest climber to reach the top of Mount Everest on Saturday, surpassing the previous record set by a 16-year-old Nepalese.

Jordan Romero called his mother by satellite phone from the summit of the world's highest mountain, 29,035 feet (8,850 meters) above sea level. He is now one climb away from his quest to conquer the highest peaks on all seven continents.

"He says, 'Mom, I'm calling you from the top of the world,'" Leigh Anne Drake told The Associated Press from California, where she had watched her son's progress on a GPS tracker online.

"There were lots of tears and 'I love you! I love you!'" Drake said. "I just told him to get his butt back home."

The teenager with long curly hair — who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa when he was 9 years old — says he was inspired by a painting in his school hallway of the seven continents' highest summits.

"Every step I take is finally toward the biggest goal of my life, to stand on top of the world," Jordan said earlier on his blog.

The former record for the youngest climber to scale Everest had been held by Temba Tsheri of Nepal. He reached the peak at age 16.

Also Saturday, officials said a Nepalese Sherpa who lives in the Salt Lake City suburb of Draper broke his own world record by climbing Everest for the 20th time. Apa, who goes by one name, went up with fellow climbers on a mission also to collect garbage, a growing environmental problem on the mountain.

Mountaineering Department official Tilak Pandey said several climbers took advantage of Saturday's clear weather to reach the summit.

Jordan's climbing team reached the peak hours earlier than expected.

"The first thing, they all hugged each other and said, 'I love you, I can't believe we're finally here' and started crying," said Rob Bailey, the team's spokesman, by phone from the United States.

Jordan, from Big Bear, California, was climbing Everest with his father, his father's girlfriend and three Sherpa guides. He left for the peak from the base camp on the Chinese side.

Everest was his first challenge above 26,240 feet (8,000 meters).

Unlike neighboring Nepal, the other approach to Everest, China has no age limit for climbers. Jordan registered with Chinese officials in April, said Zhang Mingxing, secretary general of China Tibet Mountaineering Association.

No interview with Jordan would be possible until he returns to advance base camp, which could take a couple of days, Bailey said. Climbers stay overnight at three or four camps before the summit, depending on their route and pace.

Jordan carried a number of good luck charms, including a pair of kangaroo testicles given to him by a friend who has cancer.

"That's the one that probably meant the most," Bailey said.

At the summit, Jordan left behind his lucky rabbit's foot and planted some seeds that a Buddhist monk at a local monastery had given him for luck on his journey, Bailey said. Then he took the satellite phone and called his mom.

Jordan continues the recent trend of young adventurers. Earlier this month, 16-year-old Australian Jessica Watson became the youngest person to sail around the globe solo, nonstop and unassisted. Thousands lined Sydney Harbor to cheer as she cruised past the finish line in her pink yacht.

A Dutch court late last year blocked an even younger sailor, 14-year-old sailor Laura Dekker, from pursuing a similar round-the-world voyage, ordering her to prepare more and wait at least until this year before starting.

And in January, 17-year-old Johnny Collinson of Utah became the youngest person to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents.

Just one mountain remains in Jordan's own quest to climb those peaks, the Vinson Massif in Antarctica.

Jordan's team leaves for Antarctica in December, Bailey said.

"A piece of cake," his mother said.

Michael Barone: The Muzzled Truth About Islamic Terrorism

From Ace of Spades:

Michael Barone has a theory about why Eric Holder can't say the words 'radical Islam' and why authorities in general won't talk about any Muslim-terrorism connection:

My theory is that these well-intentioned folk see the American people as a howling mob. They think that if Americans find out that Islamists are attacking us, they will go out and slaughter innocent Muslims. They think that Americans are incapable of understanding the simple truth that while most terrorists are Islamists, the large majority of Muslims are not terrorists.
Of course by and large the American people are understanding and able to make distinctions as the last nine years have shown. But their forbearance is not unlimited - another Muslim terrorist attack with mass casualties followed by mealy-mouthed platitudes from government officials and you will start to see vigilante death squads.

Our Dhimmified State Department

From Jihad Watch, citing the Daily News:
State Department bows to Sharia, condemns Motoons

WASHINGTON: The US has deplored blasphemous images of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) on Facebook as "deeply offensive to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike", saying America does not condone expressions that lead to violence or hatred. The US State Department also expressed respect for any actions that need to be taken under Pakistani law to protect their citizens from offensive speech, but expected a balance between restricting offensive material and ensuring flow of information for the Internet users. "Obviously, this is a difficult and challenging issue. Many of the images that appear today on Facebook were deeply offensive to Muslims and non-Muslims alike," Philip J Crowley, assistant secretary of state, said.
I think I'm gonna puke.

Jihad Watch to read Robert Spencer's commentary.

In part, Mr. Spencer said:
[T]he Motoons are not a stunt, not a joke, not a raspberry to anyone, not an exercise in obnoxiousness or gratuitous offense. The Motoons are rather the foremost battleground in the defense of the freedom of speech today.

From Reliapundit the Astute Blogger:

The US embassy in Pakistan issued a threat notice to its citizens on Friday, warning that "terrorist groups" may have established links to a well-known catering company in the capital Islamabad.

The plane appears to have overshot the hilltop runway where it was landing in one of India’s trickiest airports, in the city of Mangalore, which sits in the Western Ghats, or hills, on India’s southwestern coast.

MORE - From the BBC:

The plane overshot the hilltop runway as it tried to land and burst into flames in a forested valley beyond.
Survivors said they thought they heard what sounded like a tyre bursting just before the crash.
Speaking to Indian TV from his hospital bed, survivor Umer Farooq said he heard a loud thud as the plane touched down.
"Then the plane veered off toward some trees on the side and then the cabin filled with smoke. I got caught in some cables but managed to scramble out," he said.

One survivor, Umer Farooq, said after being admitted to the hospital that "there was a loud noise, followed by fire."

"I managed to jump out of a broken window," he said.

You Don't Get This Medal For Showing "Courageous Restraint".

Courageous restraint isn't what our military does best.

"ISAF Chief of Staff, German Army Lt. Gen. Bruno Kasdorf presents the Gold Cross of Honor to members of 5-158th Aviation Battalion. This is the first time the award has ever been issued to a service member outside of German armed forces."

h/t to Christian Soldier for this video:

And here's the story from Stars and Stripes:

14 U.S. soldiers awarded German Gold Cross medal
GIs receive Germany’s highest award for valor for rescue mission on April 2 in Afghanistan

By Dan Blottenberger and Marcus Klöckner, Stars and Stripes
European edition, Friday, April 30, 2010

ANSBACH, Germany — The rescue was harrowing, but his son was calm in recounting it, Jack McDonough recalled Thursday.

Capt. Robert McDonough, a pilot, called him in the States from northern Afghanistan. His son described how he had to maneuver his helicopter, which was evacuating wounded German soldiers, to avoid heavy fire from insurgents who had pinned down a German platoon.

The bullets were so close, he could hear the rounds pinging off the Black Hawk’s rotors, his son said.

He wanted to let his father know he was OK before he saw the incident on the news.

"A German doctor told him that if they hadn’t gotten three of the other [German] soldiers back so quickly, they would have died," said Jack McDonough, of Williamsport, Pa.

Jack McDonough was in Ansbach Thursday to take part in a ceremony to honor his son and 13 other members of 5th Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade for their heroism in rescuing wounded German troops on April 2. Three of the 11 Germans who were rescued that day later died.

Gen. Stanley McChrystal received Gold Cross medals on behalf of the soldiers last week. This is the first time foreign troops have received the medal, which is Germany’s highest award for valor. McChrystal was to present the awards to the soldiers downrange.

On Thursday, Christian Schmidt, Germany’s assistant secretary of defense, thanked the soldiers and gave the families wine, flowers and ceramic bowls made by a Berlin manufacturer.

"We are proud that we have you," he told the group, adding that the gifts are meant to show the appreciation of the German people.

German soldiers with Parachute Battalion 373, based in the city of Seedorf in Lower Saxony, were ambushed by the Taliban while on a routine mission to deal with a roadside bomb in the Chahar Darah district southwest of Kunduz.

Up to 40 Taliban members opened fire with heavy arms, and the German soldiers called a provincial reconstruction team in Kunduz for back up, according to German officials.

During the fight, three wounded Germans were evacuated by the Americans amid firing by the Taliban.

About two hours after the fighting started, the Germans were able to break away from the Taliban but a German armored car, a Dingo, hit a roadside bomb and four soldiers were wounded. The U.S. helicopter unit evacuated these troops and four others involved in fighting later on.

After the fighting died down, another German company that took over for the first set of troops fired on two approaching cars, killing six Afghan soldiers.

German Gen. Frank Leidenberger, commander of Regional Command-North, said it can be hard to tell friend from foe in adverse conditions.

"We will do our best to support the relatives of our Afghan partners who were killed" in the incident, he said in a news release.

Big Journalism:

D.C. Metro Police Escorted SEIU Protesters to Bank Of America Executive’s Home

The family of Greg Baer, Bank of America executive, is located in a jurisdiction protected by the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), which responded promptly to a disturbance call from his neighborhood last weekend.

According to Corporal Dan Friz, an MCPD spokesperson in Rockville, Maryland, the department received a disturbance call from one of Baer’s neighbors at 4:10 pm last Sunday. Four MCPD units arrived at Baer’s Greenville Rd. address at 4:15 pm. At least two Metropolitan Police Department units from the nearby District of Columbia were already at the scene when they arrived.

Why? Because police cars attached to the Washington MPD’s Civil Disturbance Unit had escorted the SEIU protesters’ buses to Baer’s home. Such cross-jurisdictional escort activity is not uncommon for both departments according to Friz and Metro Police Department spokesperson Officer Eric Frost. Still, the District police did not inform their colleagues of what was about to happen in one of their Maryland neighborhoods.

The Maryland officers reported there were approximately 500 protesters on and near the front lawn of Baer’s house. Montgomery County was not given a “heads-up” concerning the planned protest. Although a protest permit is technically required in Montgomery County, in practice no citation is issued if the protestors disperse when requested to do so by the owner of the private property they occupy.

The primary role of the Washington cops in this event was to protect the protesters. The D.C. officers had no authority to act to disperse the protesters even had the homeowner been present and asked them to vacate the private property. The event ended as a “dash one”– no arrests, no citations – according to Friz. The Montgomery County units left the scene at 5:29 pm.

According to Friz, “members of protest groups know how far to push the envelope” and wait for “the key words” – for example, the property owner’s request that they leave – in order to avoid arrests or citations. For example, protesters are required to keep on the move, since a standing protest violates a Montgomery County code. And, while photographs clearly suggest that many of the SEIU protesters were stationary, the District police don’t have any authority to enforce Montgomery County laws.

So, let’s sum this up: A caravan of SEIU buses receive a Metropolitan (D.C.) Police Department escort to a private home in Maryland where the protesters, from all appearances, violate Montgomery County law by engaging in a stationary protest. The Montgomery County police were not informed by their cross-jurisdictional colleagues of the impending, unusually large protest pending in their jurisdiction.

What’s up with that? Had the mob decided to torch the house, the D.C. police would not have been authorized to intervene. Not their jurisdiction. They’re just escorts. Meanwhile, a teenage boy is home alone, frightened by what’s happening outside his front door.

There’s something very wrong with this picture.

The Next 10 Years of Free Speech in a 10 Minute Microcosm

I'm calling it now. Unless we actually stand up for free speech and enforce it, we will see this 10 minute video played out in our lives over the next 10 years.
*Note: Some of the images in this video are mildly offensive, and the language used by the Muslims is filthy. You may have to sign into YouTube to watch this.

1 - Lars Vilks attempts to show a film (yes, it was offensive; no, it wasn't pornography)
2 - 20 seconds into the film, a Muslim yells "Stop the Film!"
3 - 8 seconds later, some kid flies over the desk and attacks Vilks
4- All chaos breaks loose, greeted by Muslims cheering "Allahu Akbar!"
5 - At the 3:55 mark, a man says "I said 'stop the film', and you didn't stop it!"
6 - Muslims greet this by cheering "Muhammad! Muhammad!"
7 - At 5 minutes, the man is still asking "Why didn't you stop the film?" to which the cop responds "I'll explain that later"
8 - At 5:20, the Muslims start saying "We pay taxes, Sweden is our country, why didn't you stop the film? If you stopped the film, this wouldn't have happened!"
9 - At the 6 minute mark, Muslims start saying to security "If you draw your gun, we'll report you!" People continue yelling insults and being aggressive towards the security.
10 - At the 7:20 mark, the first and only rational Muslim voice speaks up and says "No aggression towards the police, respect the cops, they are here to do their jobs.
11 - At the 8:45 mark, an official gets up and says they will stop showing the film due to security reasons.
12 - Muslims burst into celebration over their victory
13 - At 9:15, a lone voice speaks up and says to the crowd that they are compromising free speech
14 - Immediately, the Muslim crowd is riled up in anger over this proclamation
15 - Everyone is dismissed
16 - People exit the room amidst chants of the Shahada.

I want to call your attention to some of the things that happened here. First, note how the Muslim man in the audience think his voice is enough to dictate what everyone else does. He thinks simply by saying "Stop the film!" the whole auditorium should fall in line with his sentiment. This is exactly what we see in the world; a handful of Muslims would seek to change the practices of a nation, and they really feel like it's their God-given right, completely ignoring the fact that their whims are not any more important than anyone else's.

Then, violence and chaos break out, and the Muslims are ecstatic that they were able to interrupt the film by one means or another. This is what happened with the Danish cartoonists a few years ago, it's what is happened with Theo Van Gogh, it's what they're trying to do to Molly Norris, and it's what they're doing to Lars Vilks.

Not too long after, the Muslims start saying "This is our country - you must listen to us!" Yes, you've come to the country, but as long as you keep fighting the principles it stands for (i.e. free speech), then it's not your country. No one there should listen to you.

Another scary parallel, the Muslims then say "If you had listened to us", that is, if the security had appeased them by caving in and cutting off the film, "If you had listened to us, this wouldn't have happened!" Notice, the Muslims are blaming their insufferable actions of violence and chaosmongering on someone else, namely security. They know what they've done is bad, they just transpose the blame onto someone else. That's exactly how the Muslim world intimidates others into changing their behavior: "If you don't change, the death of those who receive our wrath will be your fault!" It's like they're the school bullies, pushing people around to boost their egos and their power.

Then, to further bully the security, a man says "If you draw your gun, I'll report you!" Notice again how blame is being shifted on others, people who are trying to keep the peace. That is exactly what happens when I, or David, or any other poster on this blog tries to point out what the Muslims are doing. The Muslims respond by saying we are the ones to blame! The same goes for Geert Wilders, Pam Gellar, [sic] Robert Spencer, and anyone who tries to stand in the way of Muslims who go too far - they all get called out as if they are the bad guys.

Woman Openly Declares She Would "Slaughter Lars Vilks Like a Lamb"

Is it just me, or has the world gone topsy turvy when a woman who declares intentions of 1st degree murder is perfectly safe, but a man who does nothing more than draw cartoons is on the brink of death?

In other news, he also depicts Jesus as a pedophile. I don't like it, I consider it blasphemy, and I, consequently, am not too fond of Vilks. But you wont hear me, or probably any Christian for that matter, calling for his death. I wonder why...

Obama Hasn’t Had a Press Conference Since July 22, 2009

From Weasel Zippers:

What is he scared of? The MSM would give him oral pleasure if he asked nicely (Tingles being first in line)…
(Newsmax)- Observers couldn’t help but notice the irony: President Barack Obama on Monday signed the Press Freedom Act, then refused to take any questions from members of the press.

In a broader sense, the event was another demonstration of Obama’s standoffish relationship with the news media — despite his campaign vow of a “transparent” administration.

Obama has not fielded questions at a full-blown press conference since way back on July 22, 2009.

President George H.W. Bush had nearly three press conferences a month. Bill Clinton and Lyndon Johnson convened an average of about two a month, Ronald Reagan had less than one press conference every two months, and Richard Nixon averaged one every seven weeks.

Obama lags behind both Nixon and Reagan: He called five press conferences during his first six months in office, and none in the 10 months that followed, the Huffington Post reported.

As for less formal short exchanges with reporters, Obama has had 47, compared with 147 for George W. Bush in his first year and 252 for Clinton, according to figures compiled by professor Martha Joynt Kumar of Towson University in Towson, Md.

Pink Hitler posters provoke fury

Giant posters of Hitler dressed in bright pink, with a love heart in place of a swastika, have provoked a furious debate in Italy.

Pink Hitler poster
Hitler poster in Palermo

The 18ft high posters of the Nazi leader advertise a line of clothing for young people and adorn street corners and bus stops in Palermo, Sicily's biggest city.
The ads show the Fuhrer in a lurid pink uniform, with his swastika armband replaced with one bearing a bright red heart, above the slogan "Change Style – Don't Follow Your Leader".
Many local people say the advertising campaign is offensive and have called for the posters to be taken down.
A city councillor with the centre-Left Democratic Party, Rosario Filoramo, has protested to the mayor of Palermo.
"The use of an image of a person responsible for the worst chapters of the last century is offensive to our country's constitutional principles and to the sensitivities of citizens," he said.
A council official, Fabrizio Ferrandelli, said: "Having Hitler's face on a poster... cannot be passed off as an innocent advertising message. Seeing these posters in front of schools is an embarrassment." But the advertising agency which came up with the idea said critics of the campaign were over-reacting.
The Hitler poster was a tongue-in-cheek way of encouraging young people not to follow the crowd in their fashion choices.

It's clear the pink Hitler is supposed to be "cool", after all, he has an armband which signifies "love".

If Hitler is not supposed to represent coolness in this ad, then are we supposed to also think "love" is not cool?

This ad agency went for shock value, in order to drum up a bunch of free PR. However, they are betraying themselves as people who are almost completely lacking in a basic understanding of the pain involved in the history of WWII.

Times Square Bombing Investigation Focuses on Suspected Role of Pakistani Army Major

Suspected Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad is shown in this undated U.S. Department of Justice photograph released to Reuters on May 19, 2010.
Suspected Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad is shown in this undated U.S. Department of Justice photograph released to Reuters on May 19, 2010.
U.S. and Pakistani investigators are pursuing a new lead in the failed Times Square bombing: That a major in Pakistan’s army knew of Faisal Shahzad’s plans to attack U.S. targets months before Shahzad tried to ignite a car bomb in the heart of New York City. Investigators believe the major, who is suspected of having ties to the Pakistani Taliban, did not tell Pakistani authorities about preparations for an attack and may even have aided the plotters, officials said Thursday.
Pakistani authorities arrested the military officer this week, officials said. U.S. investigators have been told by Pakistani officials that the major learned of Shahzad's plans from another suspect who is accused of funding the operation, according to a senior U.S. anti-terror official.
The major has since resigned from the military, said the official, who requested anonymity because the case remains open.
"We are being told the major was aware of the plot," the senior anti-terror official said. "We don't know yet how much of a role he had, if any. He did have connections to the Pakistani Taliban."
U.S. investigators have been given only sketchy details about the major and his arrest, which was first reported Wednesday by the Los Angeles Times [1]. A spokesman at the Pakistani embassy in Washington said Thursday that embassy officials had heard reports of this week's arrest in Pakistan, but had not been able to confirm them or obtain details.

Landmark status puts site in limbo
"A controversial plan to build a $100 million mosque and community center just two blocks north of Ground Zero could be undone by history.

The 152-year-old building at 45 Park Place that would be torn down for the mosque is under the protection of the Landmarks Preservation Commission, which has had a pending application on its books since 1989 to grant it landmark status."

Something is afoul here.

The landmark status issue with this 9/11 mosque should have become apparent to those involved in the planning stages - if not at the closing of sale(old Burlington Coat factory).

The announcement that this 13 story insult received council approval led to the assumption that the project would somehow manage to obtain all legal permits for demolition, construction, as well as passing all inspections in time to dedicate the "Cordoba Initiative" for the  tenth anniversary of 9/11 NEXT YEAR .

Does this sound like a rational possibility to you?.   Compare the Cordoba Initiative with the big hole in the ground @ the site of the twin tower footprints  8+ years later.

After reconsidering the above, I suspect this announcement about the Cordoba Initiative was either a bluff to test the waters, or a pre-meditated instigation to pour salt into 9/11 wounds.  Why would they do that?  Because they can. Or worse, perhaps there is more than demolition/construction planned.  Think about the recent Times Square jihad attempt.

The SIOA gathering would conveniently gather like-minded counter-jihad/ counter-sharia troops (mischief makers according to the qur'an) together in one place.

Fuck the Taliban.

'Reason to believe' Pakistani Taliban plotting to strike U.S.
U.S. intelligence has strong reason to believe that the Pakistani Taliban is actively plotting to hit interests in the U.S. and American targets overseas, a U.S. official told CNN Thursday.

The concerns about the group that authorities say directed the Times Square bombing plot are coming from multiple streams of information, including from Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bombing suspect, the official said.

The official told CNN that CIA Director Leon Panetta and National Security Adviser Jim Jones relayed the new terror threat information to Pakistan's government on their trip there earlier this week.

The threat information was not down to the level of specific cities, the official said.

What is it with Moslems and CARTOONS?

Um, never mind. They simply must rush to aid of their pedophile prophet if they even PERCEIVE ridicule.

I say: Ridicule MTP all the more. Heh.

A little personal anecdote now....Way back when, when I was ranting on and on about the threat of Islam, Mr. AOW looked at me as if I had three heads. Then, when I told him about the Motoons, he said, "Shouldn't insult a person's religion." Mr. AOW's tune changed when Moslems broke out into a cartoonifada, at which point Mr. AOW said, incredulously, "Over a bunch of CARTOONS? Get over it!"

My point: The more ruckus that Moslems raise over CARTOONS, the quicker the general population of the West will wake the hell up.

Vignettes of the mind's eye as America trashes itself to pieces of ultra expensive ethnic stupidities

madmen2.jpgMadmen Season One, last 60 seconds of episode 9. January Jones as Mrs Draper, smoking away in a nightgown in the back yard, shooting the neighbor's pigeon's after he told her kids he would kill their dog for going after one, while Bobby Helms sings "You Are My Special Angel"

The entire reason I decided to watch this INCREDIBLE, well written, well acted, superbly directed, galactically captivating series was this picture.

One look at her and my jewish grandma came flying out of the grave shrieking "NO NO NO NO"

UPDATE: The office manager at Sterling Cooper Advertising, and another lead character ... Christina Hendricks
christina-hendricks-and the watermelon 0510-lg.jpgThe oxygen has left the room. That watermelon is liable to drip, you know.
And here's the damned thing .. these gals can REALLY act.

Here is Ms Hendricks on how to behave men, ..I don't she was in the market for boys even when she was 13.

Even if you're insecure about something, we love your body. You feel like you're not this or that? We love your body. We embrace everything. Because it's you.

Speaking of your body, you don't understand the power of your own smell. Any woman who is currently with a man is with him partly because she loves the way he smells. And if we haven't smelled you for a day or two and then we suddenly are within inches of you, we swoon. We get light-headed. It's intoxicating. It's heady.

We remember forever what you say about the bodies of other women. When you mention in passing that a certain woman is attractive — could be someone in the office, a woman on the street, a celebrity, any woman in the world, really — your comment goes into a steel box and it stays there forever. We will file the comment under "Women He Finds Attractive." It's not about whether or not we approve of the comment. It's about learning what you think is sexy and how we might be able to convey it. It's about keeping our man by knowing what he likes.

We also remember everything you say about our bodies, be it good or bad. Doesn't matter if it's a compliment. Could be just a comment. Those things you say are stored away in the steel box, and we remember these things verbatim. We remember what you were wearing and the street corner you were standing on when you said it.

Never complain about our friends — even if we do. No matter how many times we say a friend of ours is driving us crazy, you are not to pile on. Not because it offends us. But because it adds to the weight that we carry around about her.

Remember what we like. When I first started dating my husband, I had this weird fascination with the circus and clowns and old carnival things and sideshow freaks and all that. About a month after we started dating, he bought me this amazing black-and-white photo book on the circus in the 1930s, and I started sobbing. Which freaked him out. I thought, Oh, my God, I mentioned this three or four weeks ago and talked about it briefly, but he was really listening to me. And he actually went out and researched and found this thing for me. It was amazing.

We want you to order Scotch. It's the most impressive drink order. It's classic. It's sexy. Such a rich color. The glass, the smell. It's not watered down with fruit juice. It's Scotch. And you ordered it.

Stand up, open a door, offer a jacket. We talk about it with our friends after you do it. We say, "Can you believe he stood up when I approached the table?" It makes us feel important. And it makes you important because we talk about it.

No shorts that go below the knee. The ones almost like capri pants, the ones that hover somewhere between the kneecap and the calf? Enough with those shorts. They are the most embarrassing pants in the world. They should never be worn. No woman likes those.

Also, no tank tops. In public at least. A tank top is underwear. You're walking around in your underwear. Too much.

No man should be on Facebook. It's an invasion of everyone's privacy. I really cannot stand it.

You don't know this, but when we come back from a date, we feel awkward about that transition from our cute outfit into sexy lingerie. We don't know how to do this gracefully. It's embarrassing. We have to find a way to slip into another room, put on the outfit as if it all happened very easily, and then come out and it's: Look at me! Look at the sexy thing I've done! For you, it's the blink of an eye. It's all very embarrassing. Just so you know.

Panties is a wonderful word. When did you stop saying "panties"? It's sexy. It's girlie. It's naughty. Say it more.

About ogling: The men who look, they really look. It doesn't insult us. It doesn't faze us, really. It's just — well, it's a little infantile. Which is ironic, isn't it? The men who constantly stare at our breasts are never the men we're attracted to.

There are better words than beautiful. Radiant, for instance. It's an underused word. It's a very special word. "You are radiant." Also, enchanting, smoldering, intoxicating, charming, fetching.

Marriage changes very little. The only things that will get a married man laid that won't get a single man laid are adultery and whores. Intelligence and humor (and your smell) are what get you laid. That's what got you laid when you were single. That's what gets you laid when you're married. Everything still works in marriage: especially intelligence and humor. Because the sexiest thing is to know you.

Calderon On Blitzer

Do as I say, not as we do.

Calderon admits at the border they ask for papers. On the streets the cops can ask for papers. No papers, back to your homeland with you.

The Tea Party is a Culturist Movement

Tea Party Policy Statement II

In what way is the Tea Party a culturist movement and what are the culturist implications of the Tea Party?  The answers circle around the concept of self-governance.
Culturism holds that the traditional majority culture has the right to define, promote, and protect themselves.   This is self-governance as the Founding Fathers meant it, as a community.
On the largest scale, culturism advocates self-governance for the West.  Islamic nations realize they have a majority culture and have culturist policy.  So do Asian cultures.  In fact, that is the norm throughout the world and time.  The world is not getting more diverse, the West is.  Only the West has given up the culturist right to self-definition in the name of multiculturalism, globalism, and individualism.
The West has a core culture.  And, more than any other culture, it is based on the concept of self-governance.  If you ask Americans to describe their nation, what makes it special, they will reply, “It is a democracy.”  The Greeks invented democracy, the Roman republic is a golden age.  The Middle Ages, in part, get called the Dark Ages because people were not encouraged to lend their minds to rationally guiding their individual and collective fates.
Islamic cultures pride themselves on fidelity to their theocratic strictures.  Democracy, free speech, the separation of church and state, feminism, are not their values.  China has neither free speech, freedom of religion, or democracy.  That is not their value.  Just as they have a right to keep people out that do not have their values, we have a right to do the same.  The multiculturalists say we have no core culture.  The values they identify as “human” values are really just western values.
Within the American Federalist system, States and localities have the right to self-governance.  This right has been attacked by the Federal government.  Whether you favor or oppose abortion, for example, you should recognize that when the Supreme Court decides nationally, it takes away a reason for you to participate locally.  By definition, whatever is decided in Washington DC is not decided in your State or locality.  Smaller government means more participatory democracy, more self-governance.
Culturism also gets undermined by a radical rights-based individualist framework.  In modern America, no traditional majority culture can protect, define and promote itself without the ACLU saying it makes an individual uncomfortable.   This undermines communities’ ability to exist and guide themselves.  Individuals exist within the context of cultures.  To smash individual rights would go against the tenure of western civilization.  But, communities and traditions cannot be kept from existing because one individual might have his feelings hurt.
Finally, self-governance means that individuals govern themselves.  To do so sustainably, they must think about responsibility.  Negatively, when the government takes care of you it removes your motivation to be responsible.  Positively, we should behave with an eye to vindicating the western culture that believes in our ability to decide what we wish to do for ourselves.   Thus the Tea Party’s call for smaller government supports the western value of liberty through responsibility.
The Tea Party ideal of self-governance is not only theoretical.  If the West falls, self-governance will cease to exist.  Militarism can take over.  Neither Islam nor China will fight for our rights to self-governance.  The Federal government has shown itself incapable of self-governance.  It has nearly bankrupted all of us.  Local communities without the right to set standards end up riddled with anti-social behavior.  And individuals that are not self-governing, are not truly free.  The Tea Party needs to stand for self-governance at the local level or the West will fall.

President of Mexico and Barack Obama Jointly Announce a Formal Declaration of War on America

From Director Blue:
Has a sitting President ever allowed another head of state to visit the people's house and insult Americans, then -- worse -- join in an attack on one of the United States? But, let's not forget -- he's a uniter, not a divider.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has used the start of a state visit to the US to renew his attack on Arizona's controversial new immigration law... Mr Calderon said migrant workers were forced to "still live in the shadows and, occasionally, as in Arizona, they even face discrimination"...

Would this be the same Mexico that routinely imprisons immigrants for six or more years if they don't have their papers? That performs racial profiling as a matter of national law? That is so corrupt and rife with violence that police are routinely found beheaded by drug gangs?

Who the f*** is does this clown think he is? Coming into our country and telling us what to do when Mexico is about to fall into complete chaos?

Why don't you go camp out on the border, Calderon, and see how you like it, you disgusting twit? You can't even run your own damn country and you want to tell us how to run ours?

But it gets better, as President Axelrod echoed the Mexican President's message, claiming Arizona's border isn't worth protecting.

...President Barack Obama emphasised a message of solidarity, saying the US and Mexico would "stand together"... Mr Obama has also already been critical of the law, although it had not been expected that he would raise it in discussions with Mr Calderon.

Mr Obama said in a news conference that he had discussed the "misdirected" law with Mr Calderon, and that his administration was "taking a very close look at it", including the civil rights implications... "No law-abiding person... should ever be subject to suspicion simply because of what they look like," Mr Obama said... "The Arizona law has the potential of being applied in a discriminatory fashion."

Apparently, like party hack Eric Holder and the incompetent Janet Napolitano, he hasn't read Arizona's bill either.

He just heard about it on MBSNC.

It's as simple as this: Barack Obama and Democrats in Congress are actively working with foreign entities to encourage the violation of federal laws. These violations not only endanger the security of American citizens... not only are massive economic drains on health care, prison, law enforcement and welfare budgets... not only reduce employment opportunities for legal citizens... but are actively encouraged by Democrats in order to override the votes of American citizens.

That's the modern Democrat Party in action.

It's November or never. The clock is ticking.

Islamists Warn Iraqi Christians: “Leave Immediately or our Swords Shall be Placed Upon Your Necks”

From Weasel Zippers:

If only there was a huge number of mainly Christian troops in Iraq to protect these people…
Iraq (MNN)Muslim extremists are warning Christians in Iraq to leave the country immediately or risk violent death. The threat mentions believers in Baghdad and Mosul–already troubled areas.
Voice of the Martyrs reports that an Iraqi bishop received a letter from the General Secretariat of the Islam Supporters warning Christians in Baghdad and other areas to “leave the country of Muslims (Iraq) for good and immediately in the form of mass transmigration.” It continues: “You can follow Pope Benedict XVI and his followers who have disfigured humanity and Islam,” the letter said. “There’s no more room for you, infidels, among the Iraqi Muslims. Our swords shall be placed upon your necks and the necks of your followers and other Christians residing in Mosul.”
Sunni Muslim insurgents have frequently targeted members of Iraq’s Christian minority. Iraq’s current government is Shiite-led. As a result, Christians have found that they are in the crossfire. Many thousands have already fled to neighboring countries.

From the Astute Bloggers:
If islam really was a a religion of peace then no one would have to be reminded.

If islam was a religion of peace, then no politician would have to get up on stage and say it in order to assuage muslims.

The very fact that some politicians say it proves that it isn't true because it proves they are afraid of islam and muslims.

Even if only a small percentage of muslims want to commit terror against us in order to destroy Judeo-Christian Civilization (as many postmodern leftists do, too), this may amount to 100,000,000 potential jihado-terrorists.

Many other hundreds of millions of muslims support jihad by donating money to them directly and indirectly.

And many hundreds of millions support jihado-terror by raising their children in a way that makes them predisposed to commit terror: they raise their male children to believe that murdering a female family member can restore family honor; (people who raise their children to be able to commit so-called honor killings of their own flesh and blood are of course raising children capable of committing genocide against non-muslims).

Politicians who call islam a religion of peace are dhimmis who aid and abet global jihad by rewarding jihado-terror, and this encourages and invites more.

We need more politicians like Geert Wilders who call a spade a a spade.

And more people must say enough is enough.

A Jew might hate seeing Moses depicted as a devil, just as Christians would hate seeing Jesus depicted as a whore, but neither Jews or Christians will commit terror because of it. WHY!? Because unlike islam, they are not religions of terror. Islam is a creed based on terror which only spread via terror. It's time we admitted it and start fighting them accordingly.

Apple Bans App For Depicting Images of Mohammed, Criticizing Islam…

(Apple Weblog)- In what is sure to raise a ruckus, comedian / filmmaker / app developer Emery Emery recorded a phone call with an Apple App Store rep when his iSlam Muhammad app was pulled from the App Store after one day. The highly entertaining conversation in its entirety can be heard by watching the “video” above.
iSlam Muhammad apparently depicted images of the prophet Muhammad (forbidden by Islam) and outlined disturbing passages from the Qur’an. It’s surprisingly similar to BibleThumper, a Christian-bashing app that remains in the App Stor

ICE Chief Says He May Not Process Illegal Immigrants From Arizona

May not necessarily process those who break the law? What this comes down to is the Obama Administration continuing to have a snit-fit about a law they don't like, because it forces them to do their fucking job.

In the midst of an outcry over illegal immigration and Arizona’s new crackdown, a top Department of Homeland Security official visiting Chicago on Wednesday said his agency intended to step up enforcement in places such as Illinois.
John Morton, who heads U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said his agency intends to expand the Secure Communities initiative, which gives police and sheriff’s departments access to a Homeland Security database that includes fingerprints. The initiative recently grew to include most of Chicago’s suburbs.
…Echoing comments by President Barack Obama and others in the administration, Morton said that Arizona’s new law targeting illegal immigration is not “good government.” The law makes it a crime to be in the state illegally and requires police to check suspects for immigration paperwork.
Morton said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona officials. The best way to reduce illegal immigration is through a comprehensive federal approach, not a patchwork of state laws, he said.
“I don’t think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution,” Morton said.

Breaking: Blair Announces Resignation

Well, that's one down.

About time some fucking heads started to roll.

Obama Intelligence Chief Blair Announces Resignation
May 20, 2010, 7:57 PM EDT

By Nicholas Johnston and Jeff Bliss

May 20 (Bloomberg) -- National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair is resigning as the top manager of U.S. spy agencies.

Blair offered his resignation to President Barack Obama effective May 28, he said in a statement. A U.S. official said the administration already has been interviewing potential replacements.

“I have had no greater honor or pleasure than to lead the remarkably talented and patriotic men and women of the Intelligence Community,” Blair said in the statement.

Obama, in a statement, thanked Blair for a “remarkable record of service” and said the intelligence community under his tenure “had performed admirably and effectively at a time of great challenges to our security.”

Republican lawmakers have been critical of the Obama administration’s intelligence efforts in the battle against terrorism following two failed attacks: the Christmas Day attempt to blow up an airliner bound for Detroit from Amsterdam and the unsuccessful car bomb attack in New York’s Times Square on May 1.

Pete Hoekstra, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said the resignation is a “disturbing sign” of conflicts between intelligence agencies and the Obama White House.

“Blair’s resignation is the result of the Obama administration’s rampant politicization of national security and outright disregard for congressional intelligence oversight,” Hoekstra, of Michigan, said in a statement.

The resignation was reported earlier by ABC News.

Spy Agency Manager

Blair, 63, is a retired admiral who was picked by Obama last year for the job of overseeing the 16 U.S. intelligence agencies, which have a combined budget of $47.5 billion. He was confirmed to the position by the U.S. Senate in a unanimous vote.

Congress created the position of national intelligence director in 2004 after the U.S. spy network failed to thwart the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

In the Christmas Day terror attack, Obama said intelligence agencies had enough information to thwart the plot but “failed to connect those dots” and prevent Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab from boarding the plane he tried to blow up.

In the Times Square incident, government systems to keep accused terrorist Faisal Shahzad from boarding a plane to Dubai failed and he was only captured when Customs and Border Protection officials prevented his flight from taking off.

Major Cases

In recent months, Blair has been largely out of the public eye on major terrorism cases as other national security officials have taken the lead.

“It must have been challenging to be forced on the sidelines by the attorney general but still catch all the blame for failings,” Missouri Republican Kit Bond, the senior Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement.

In the aftermath of the failed Times Square bombing, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters of numerous briefings Obama received from John Brennan, his assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism.

Disclosure of the resignation comes two days after the Senate Intelligence Committee released a bipartisan report that found 14 intelligence failures that preceded the Christmas Day bombing attempt.

Blair also had to contend with internal administration fights. He lost a battle with Central Intelligence Agency Director Leon Panetta to name the chief Director of National Intelligence representative at a CIA station.

That task traditionally had been done by the CIA director.

UPDATE -From Astute Bloggers:

Blair issued the following statement:
"It is with deep regret that I informed the President today that I will step down as Director of National Intelligence effective Friday, May 28th.
I have had no greater honor or pleasure than to lead the remarkably talented and patriotic men and women of the Intelligence Community.
Every day, you have worked tirelessly to provide intelligence support for two wars and to prevent an attack on our homeland. You are true heroes, just like the members of the Armed Forces, firefighters, and police whose job it is to keep our nation safe.
Your work over the past 16 months has made the Intelligence Community more integrated, agile, and representative of American values. Keep it up – I will be cheering for you."
Here's a statement from Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R., Mich.) ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee.

Hoekstra lauds Blair as "the one person you could count on for rationality among Holder, Napolitano and Brennan."
He says the
resignation is "the result of the Obama administration’s rampant politicization of national security and outright disregard for congressional intelligence oversight:"
