Why we all have to pull for Obama tonight

A few days from now in 2001 I can remember sitting in a hotel waiting for George Bush to speak to a joint session of congress about what had happened, and what was going to be coming.
At that time we didn’t know Mr. Bush very well. He had  been concerned with the cost of the Rx program for Medicare. The word was he wasn’t too bright. HE wouldn’t be up to rallying the nation.

He did.

Now we have Mr, Obama who we know very, very well. I expect before this speech this is precisely how they feel in Baghdad, Damascus, Moscow, Beijing, Jerusalem, Irbil, and Raqqa.

Dr. Keith Ablow has written a very thought provoking piece HERE about this.

Around us there are other nations that clearly mean us quite ill. While the nuclear armed ones are not going to open war with us there are others such as IS, Al Qaeda, the Mullahs of Iran, Hizballah, and the Muslim Brotherhood clones that think whatever we do will be frustrated by God and lead them circuitously to victory.

They must emerge tonight fearful of you, Mr. Obama. Fearful they have chosen poorly. Fearful they are being abandoned by god, fearful of the people of this nation.

And you must have a path which is convincing for US.

If you repeat what has gone, before, if you double down on the choices you have so far made …. we will all be counting the days to Jan 2017, and your entire presidency will be the moment you left the podium speaking of Mr. Foley, and 8 minutes later went golfing.

No one wants that.

Not even Karl Rove.

This is too important.

So I am pulling for you tonight Mr. Obama.

Forget the single, it’s fences you need tonight.

EPA - I have serious doubts that this leopard can change his spots.

I'll tell yo a story that you are very familiar with. In WWI, we trained soldiers to shoot. The Army used targets that had bulls-eyes on them. The result was many soldiers could not bring themselves to shoot another human being or consciously shot over their heads. This is a psychological fact. It was not fundamentally in their nature.

The Army learned from this and in training troops to shoot in WWII, they used human silhouettes to deaden their aversion to killing human beings. It worked. Soldiers killed ore of the enemy than in WW1.

Now on to Obama. He is psychologically averse to conflict. He will not change into a war president overnight. It's fundamentally not in his nature. He will TALK big but we have seen he has very little follow through. And this is what I believe will happen concerning ISIS.

He will not define the enemy - which we have failed to do since 9-11 and he will cow tow to the Muslims being more interested in not offending them rather than defending us.

I'm with you on this WC. I have no faith left in Obama to get it right.

They are still referring to Islam as The

Religion of Peace for God's sake.

What wonderful news! ISIS has nothing to do with Islam, it is a corruption of Islam and there is no one more against them than the Arab/Islamic counties. Even more wonderful news is that these countries, from Turkey to Egypt to Iraq and all the ones in between have something like 2 million troops under arms and all very close to ISIS, at 20:1 they should be able to mop ISIS up within a day or so.

Admittedly, none of the Arabs are the best of marksmen, nor are they particularly flush with money so I think it would be a nice gesture for the West to offer the combined Arab force a million rounds of ammo.

Problem solved.
