CBC: Person who had contact with Dr. Craig Spencer released from quarantine

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — City officials announced Wednesday that one person is being released from a quarantine that had been ordered following contact with diagnosed Ebola virus patient Dr. Craig Spencer.
The person, who had been under quarantine due to contact with Spencer, will be subject to direct active monitoring following a physician review, according to a news release from the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
This means the person’s daily movements in New York City will no longer be restricted, and the person will be evaluated each day by Department of Health and Mental Hygiene staff.
The person under monitoring does not pose any public health threat and does not show any symptoms, the HHC said.
One person remained under precautionary quarantine for Ebola in New York City as of Wednesday, the department said.
Meanwhile, Spencer himself continued to show improvement at Bellevue Hospital Center, and his condition was reported as stable. He remained in isolation Wednesday and was receiving treatment.
