How close are we to anarchy?

BTW, did you guys see the meltdown over at Breithbart over a fake story started by Michelle Fields where she blamed Trump's campaign manager of assaulting her? Apparently a bunch of people have resigned.

Just waiting on the spark AOW. I don't know that I've ever been so depressed. So many people WANT something terrible to happen. They seem to think things will be so much better, that all hope is lost so just throw the dice and start over. I try to explain. They have no idea what they are wishing for, just how awful it will be.

BTW: no Gathering Storm Report last Friday? I can't find in the podcasts.

Thanks.

Nico & all - both Fields and Ben Shapiro have resigned from Breitbart after her account was called into question esp when video showed Lewandowski nowhere near her at the time of the alleged incident.

Together Trump and Sanders have awakened the great anger that has been boiling in what used to be the American Middle class. Both sides are ferociously angry and for much the same reasons but they have vastly different solutions to those problems.

So when those two groups meet there is bound to be trouble.

Problem is neither man is a uniter (and forget about the other clowns in this race) so for them to really tamp down the violence that erupts is not likely.

And I reckon were either one to make it to the White House it will not improve.

If any of the others are forced on us or someone new is forced on us it will be even worse.

It is not anarchy but as Pat Caddell says a pre-revolutionary moment that has now taken a very dangerous turn.

What is needed is a third party candidate who can bring the two sides sort of together but more importantly is as outside as Trump or Sanders.

Anyone else will represent business as usual and I don't believe America will stand for that anymore.

MR: I would say that a significant portion of America won't "stand for it anymore" but there sizable portion of the nation is perfectly happy with the status quo. They are beneficiaries and more than content to sit in the wagon while the rest of us pull. The only problem that group has is with us, the not only want us to pull the wagon, they want to kill us too.

What we witnessing now is the maturation process of the Obama Brown Shirts. He has been cultivating this mob for seven years and now he is letting them loose on the rest of us. Make no mistake, Obama himself is responsible for where we find ourselves today. He has plenty of enablers but he is the one and only cause.

I guess you could count me in as one of those who "wants something terrible to happen."

I want the GOP to be destroyed.

I know that that means we do not know what will replace it.

However, I have enough confidence in the reasonableness of the American people to believe that some form of true Conservatism would rise up and take it's place. That that Conservatism would be like Epa's Norman Rockewell painting says, "Each according to the dictates pf his own consicence."

Much as it pains me to do so, anon, I would disagree that this is all Obama's fault. The causes and wounds run much deeper.

Manufacturing has been fleeing this country for decades.

Wages have been effectively stagnant for decades.

Illegal immigration has been a serious problem for decades (just look at my home town of reading Pa.)

And the Great Recession -- which is still going on despite the bullshit everyone tries to say it isn't -- started under Mr. Bush The Younger.

And Americans now see the collusion happening between Rs & Ds. Different sides of the same coin. Who do nothing to promote the return f manufacturing, do nothing to promote wage growth and are more interested in protecting the illegal immigrant than they are of protecting their neighbor.

They care nothing about their constituency unless it's re-election time and then they parade as if they do just to protect their own overpaid underworked positions.

Where Obama fails worst (with his supporters anyway) was in everything he promised them and the failed to deliver. SO they now move towards Sanders.

Their anger was stoked by is failed presidency and policies, but the causes for that failure existed long before he stood between those Roman Columns.

And so I tend to agree with Pastorius. I have far more faith in the reasonableness of my fellow Americans -- WHEN THEY ARE NOT INCITED BY THE OUTSIDE AGITATORS WHO SIT IN THE WHITE HOUSE OR CAPITOL BUILDING -- than I do in any of our leaders.

Personally, I don't see either party surviving intact AS THEY WERE after this election.

I don't see how they can.

Americans are too angry to let it return to that.

My "100% blame on Obama" was for the Brown Shirts only. Agree with you entirely that there is an ocean of blame to go around for the overall condition of the USA.

But Obama could have used his Presidency to work for the benefit of all and the betterment of the nation. He chose instead to divide and destroy. As things stand today he is the biggest part of the problem and it is by design. His design.

Caution on the Breibart thing, Ben Shapiro just QUIT, word is more coming, WaPo, and audio, and bruising SEEMS to help Fields.

This one is a mess, and Shaipro's resignation letter is burning hot. Breitbart lawyer wrote real fuck you about Shapiro, then WITHDREW IT

Maybe there was a tech glitch with BTR?

Anon. agree with you completely on your clarification.

Epa -- yeah, I know, only reporting what I know so far but saw the video I referenced anyway and he is a good (relatively speaking) distance from her.

I tend to believe she was grabbed but not by Lewandowski and the WaPO reporter, who has a beef with Trump anyway, manipulated her into pushing this story with his slant.

"Caution on the Breibart thing, Ben Shapiro just QUIT, word is more coming, WaPo, and audio, and bruising SEEMS to help Fields."

Audio for all intents and purposes is fake since it suggests that Ben Terris was talking to Fields right after the assault is supposed to have taken place but a video clearly shows him talking to Corey.

Another video came out Saturday which clearly showed that Fields got in the way of both Corey and the security guy (between them and Trump, this when they're clearing the area so Trump can leave). Corey moved her out of the way and the video shows NO ASSAULT (which is what she claimed). And no reaction showing she had been hurt in anyway.

The whole story is a mess and Shapiro jumped on Kelly without seeing any evidence to call for Corey's resignation because you know, Shapiro hates Trump and he has made it clear on multiple occasions.

Pollak (who was apparently the guy who wrote that article poking fun at Shapiro and Fields and then retracted it) started an article where he tried to investigate the whole situation, left the article to die when the video on Saturday came out clearly showing how much Fields had exaggerated the whole situation.

The whole episode was clearly politically charged where Fields, her boyfriend (Weinstein?), Terris, and Shapiro have constantly voiced their disdain for Trump.

Fields filed a report claiming Corey assaulted her. Now her ass is most probably going to get sued.

Doubling down...after that video exonerated Lewandowski?
NYT: Michelle Fields Police Report (image at link)
Suggests weapon/tools used during alleged assault: HANDS FEET, FIST, TEETH

Nicoenarg said...

Anon, as far as I can remember, the report was filed before the video exonerated Corey (perhaps she thought no video would come out and hence it was safe to blame Corey for something that didn't take place?). It was also filed on Friday, after this failed to hurt Trump during the debate.
