A Thought Experiment: Imagine You Are Satan ...

Imagine there really is a Satan.

Satan was an Angel, the most beautiful of all, made by the Creator of the Universe, beloved of God.

He decided he'd rather not live under God's rule, but instead, would rather overthrow God.

God throws Satan out of heaven, down onto the Earth. Here he finds another created being; Man, whom God created in His Own Image, and whom He, for some inexplicable reason, regards as the Pinnacle of His Creation.

Satan decides he will fight a long war against God. He will win this war - killing Man off one person at a time - by convincing each one that he is NOT the Pinnacle of Creation, but is, instead, worthless and disgusting, made only to be ground into dust.

And for a long time it seems as if Satan's strategy is working. Man, believing he is worthless, sets to war against himself, and any others who look like him, killing one another with wild abandon.

But God fools Satan by providing an end run to victory for Himself, and man, in the form of a Salvation by which man is cleansed of his impurities, his fear, and his self-loathing, so that God can take up residence in the soul of each man on Earth.

Satan is dumbfounded.

NOW, IF YOU WERE SATAN, AND THIS HAD HAPPENED,

YOU SEE THAT YOU ARE NOW DEFEATED,

UNLESS YOU COME UP WITH THE PERFECT RELIGIOUS ANTIDOTE TO THIS NEW SALVATION?

WHAT WOULD YOU COME UP WITH?

I could believe a nice line of reasoning about satan's prime victory being convincing the world he was someplace else.... or an auditory nerve tumor in a shame based culture causing delusional hallucinations

"Some place else" as in, on another planet?

That one I don't get.

Second one seems to be happening before our very eyes.

Paul's Letter to the Thessalonians;

... the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He[d] who now restrains will do so until He[e] is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them STRONG DELUSION, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

For believers in Christ and the Trinity, your line of thought is the only explanation for Mohammad and the rise of Islam.

Mohammad was a false prophet, and a messenger of Satan. That has been my view for a very long time. And that is why I cannot understand how the Catholic Church and those of other Christian denominations have remained silent for so long to unveil the lies, mischief, and danger Islam represents for millions of people.

Why preserve the lie of Islam being an Abrahamic religion? It is certainly not!
Why not clarify that it was Isaac, and not Ibrahim the son chosen by God? Why would Christianity and Judaism remain silent for fourteen centuries? WHY?

'someplace else' as in 'find me in some other symbolic place', don't look in hell

Epa,
Yeah, he's in Mecca, manifest in a stone that looks like a clitoris.
