Trump’s Complaint – FAKE NEWS, 2 examples, BOTH Yesterday, both AFTER Playoff Level Presser

The root of this, AGAIN, goes back to the open HOSTILITY, and CONTEMPT much the press is PROUD to display with regard to Trump, and the reason for it.

The ideology of ‘TRUMP IS SO EXCEPTIONALLY (FASCIST, STALINIST, HATER, DICTATOR, RACIST, MISOGYNISTIC) dangerous we are excused from all conscience and perceived bad or even illegal actions’ in our noble purpose

Example 1:
Admiral Harward turns down the position of National Security Adviser to the president. Considering the names in history, and the influence ON American history some of the predecessors in this position have had, this had to be a surprise.
Here is the REPORTING:
“This job requires 24 hours a day, seven days a week focus and commitment to do it right,” Mr. Harward said in a statement. “I currently could not make that commitment.”
He added that since retiring from a 40-year military career, he now had “the opportunity to address financial and family issues that would have been challenging in this position.”
Two senior administration officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter, confirmed that Mr. Harward cited family and financial considerations in turning down the post.

But his decision reflected the continuing upheaval in Mr. Trump’s White House, which was rocked this week by the resignation of Michael T. Flynn, the national security adviser, quickly followed by the abrupt withdrawal of Andrew Puzder, his nominee for secretary of labor. -NYT

Of course the former Seal seems to have had a clear priority after serving, and the NYT could easily have REPORTED the following for the last paragraph.
President Trump’s requirement that advisers at this level submit to a ban on lobbying the govt appears to have figured significantly in Admiral Harward’s decision, as it already has with General Jack Keane turning down the post of SecDef for the exact same kinds of reasons.
This last has NO qualifications, and NEITHER criticism, or laudatory phrasing.
Both Flynn, whose hardheaded realism, and proper contact with Russia probably telling Ivan’s amb. ‘look we are going to review everything’ to FORESTALL any untoward Russian reaction to Obama’s (proper) sanctions was a SERVICE, and now Harward are a loss. But Flynn lost the trust of the VP (making his position untenable) and Harward simply wants to make his family as comfortable and happy as he possibly can, and would not commit to endless days and nights, and a lobbying ban, limiting earnings potential. This is no dishonor, after all Colin Powell would NOT run for President.
Theory: the ‘press’ has NEVER before faced open, unrelenting challenge from any Republican elected official to the CORE of their operating principles, and has no response to this criticism of them except to accelerate hostility.
Chuck Todd has stated BALDLY that Trump’s statements about the press are un-American, and other MAJOR news figures have accused Trump, in his direct critical thinking of their professional responsibilities, of an attack on the first amendment.
Dudes… the press is a business like any other. You can all be swept away by superiors or sales failure, and the void will be filled because reporting IS A MARKET VEHICLE FOR ADVERTISEMENT, and those who replace you with direct factual observation will benefit.
Example 2)
The ‘fact checker’ giving 4 Pinocchios to Trump’s claim about Hillary and uranium to Russia
April 23, 2015, NYT

Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal

The headline on the website Pravda trumpeted President Vladimir V. Putin’s latest coup, its nationalistic fervor recalling an era when its precursor served as the official mouthpiece of the Kremlin: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.”
The article, in January 2013, detailed how the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, had taken over a Canadian company with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West. The deal made Rosatom one of the world’s largest uranium producers and brought Mr. Putin closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.
But the untold story behind that story is one that involves not just the Russian president, but also a former American president and a woman who would like to be the next one.
Factcheck.org
Trump wrongly said that Hillary Clinton “gave” Russia 20 percent of the uranium in the United States. Clinton was one of nine votes approving the deal. She alone couldn’t have stopped the deal, which involved 20 percent of U.S. production capacity, not stocks, and the uranium can’t go to Russia without export licenses.
Does anyone think if the SecSate stood on a chair and said ‘this stinks’ for all to hear, this would have proceeded, not to mention the moneys which went to the Clinton Foundation, OR the fact that owning the production, and getting it to a nation which we CAN ship to means we CAN’T USE IT, just as we are modernizing the entire nuclear arsenal
SHE APPROVED. STATE DEPT APPROVED.
WE SEE. WE HEAR. WE OBSERVE.
Also humorous are the quotes around “gave”.
Torturous ‘logic’ to nitpick into a 4 Pinocchio lie the word ‘gave’ instead of ‘sold’, ‘was bribed’, ‘sought reward for the transaction’ is PRECISELY what damages the press so badly, especially when it purports to be a fact check organization.

Trump may not always be ‘correct’ in his statements. He arrogantly, and annoyingly at this point, continues to strut the electoral college numbers, but just as he was about the electorate which gave him the victory and the reasons for it, when it comes to the BULK of the press, their attitude, their coverage, AND THEIR YELLOW JOURNALISTIC INTENT, he is correct, and that’s the sad truth. And every day, with reporting that goes on like this, the loss of faith by the public in media, the division within the republic, to a large extent GENERATED by the media, gets deeper and wider, and the only response so far is ACCELERATE to victory.
How’s that going?
The Republicans are now ONE STATEHOUSE CONTROL AWAY from being able to call of Convention of States.

Cut/paste comment from TCTreehouse:
guy who bailed on the NSC gig is Chief Exec of Lockheed-Martin UAE

40 years in, SEAL, Vice Admiral and slides right in to a megabuck MIC job in the Middle East.

TBQH, I’m rather happy he’s not chief secret keeper.

It’s pretty clear his loyalty is to his wallet. Trump 5-yr ban on lobbying after working for his office would have cost him many shekels. Plus Lockmart is bribe city. They hired pizzagate, sorry “Spirit Cooking” Tony Podesta as their chief lobbyist. Plus arming moslems with latest Lockmart tech. Didn’t we learn anything from arming mujahadeen with high-tech? Sure, they’re good moslems. Just like bin Ladin before we found out he wasn’t so good.

Yep, not losing sleep over this. Bump KT up and see how she does. Or find someone outside the MIC. The MIC is part of the problem.

Claiming “family obligations” while living in the UAE? Not buying it.

Another cut/paste from TCTreehouse:
Check out Harwards background:

http://www.patdollard.com/trump-offers-flynns-job-to-sailor-who-grew-up-in-iran-and-who-helped-taliban-shoot-down-extortion-17/

QUOTE:
“He (Harward) refused to kill Taliban who were set up on a roof to shoot down U.S. helo Extortion 17 because he said it was more important to “win the enemy’s hearts and minds” than to protect troops’ lives. And so the Taliban went ahead and shot it down. This huge mistake of an appointment has Reince’s filthy RINO fingerprints all over it. Harward didn’t accept yet, instead telling Trump he needs a couple of days to think about it. ABC news loves him, and gave him a job as a commentator a few years ago”

[snip]

You can read more about Harwards role in the shoot-down of Extortion 17 which claimed the lives of SEAL team Six members – some of whom had been involved in the raid on the Bin Laden compound – at below link (I wonder if they were targeted for death by Obama because they knew the Bin Laden raid was a ruse done with the complete cooperation of Pakistan).

Meanwhile, our best "big pictures with small words for below average readers magazine" declared Trump "unhinged" at his press conference.

That is a pretty big word for People Magazine, but on the other hand, it is two syllables.

Regarding Anonymous comment:

The ban is a lifetime ban for Trump's administration staff, not five years. The shorter ban is for congressional staff.

Considering these issues draws me back to a book I read, "Desert Diplomat" written by Ambassador Jordan, who was appointed by Bush II as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He now manages the Dubai office for his law firm. Is there a conflict of interest looking at his history? Probably not. But again, administrative staff for the White House can generate economic streams and also extend their viable lifetime employment after a stint at the White House. It is just important their talent does not create conflict of interest.

Anonymous,
Given Harward's role in apparently aiding the Taliban, and given his background, why the fuck do you think the Trump Admin. would want this guy anyway?

That's frightening that they would trust such a man, isn't it?

Presented without comment ... Steve Coll is the author of Ghost wars which is a totally factual representation of the war in Afghanistan BEFORE the war in Afghanistan.

He is now the Dean of Journalism at Columbia.

This story features Harward and is from 2010

IMO - sometimes Dollard is waaay over the edge, and assumes a lot of thing are factual

A president cannot know and fact check everything. He depends on the people who surround him. It would be interesting to know who was behind this guy's appointment.

One thing that worried me about Flynn is that he was a firm believer and trusted Turkey as an ally. I felt that was strange given his anti Jihad position.
